Gabe was right outside Mia’s house.

Bertha was watching him from the balcony, talking with someone on the mobile. “Where is Mia? And who’s he talking with?” she clapped a couple of times.

Gabe could hear her claps, but he purposely didn’t respond. He didn’t want to waste his attention on her right now. “Yeah, have someone shift Mia and her entire family to a safer location,” he was talking with Russell on the mobile. “I have a feeling that they are much more dangerous than anyone I have faced so far. Having these people around me will not make me more vulnerable.”

“But will you be okay all by yourself?” Russell asked, a hint of worry in his voice.

“It’s not like you can help me fight them,” Gabe’s reply was soft but brutal. “You’ve already done enough. Let me handle the rest.”
