Russell contacted his grandfather on the mobile and briefly told him what happened. “Is it possible for me to get my hands on the Hacking system for a little while?”

“You think that’s a pendrive for it to be given and taken whenever you want?” His grandfather, Regan, hissed at him. “I’m acquainted with the Arris family, but I have no idea how they’re going to react if I mention the alpha system. They might help protect your friend, but in the end, he’ll need to be handing over that system to them. Will he do that?”

“I don’t think so.”

“Then there isn’t much I can do,” Regan was blunt. “The Hacking system is with the Wolfe clan. They will not give it even if you ask for it since you already owned it once.”

“Then what am I supposed to do?” Russell frustratingly said. “Just sit and watch?”

“I can tell you’re feeling guilty for how things turned out, but sometimes, the best we can do is do nothing, Russell,” he said. “Anyway, how about you contact your dad? If it’s him, he might be able t
