The jet crossed 60,000 ft and kept going higher, and the pilot couldn’t do anything about it.

Their jet went higher and higher and soon reached nearly 100,000 ft. But they couldn’t even see the ground right now because of the layer of cloud completely covering their view, not that they cared to see the earth at this moment.

After going higher for a little longer, the jet came to standstill.

For that second, it was peaceful inside the jet plane, but then the jet immediately fell in a projectile manner.

The pilot and everyone else felt like they were floating because they were above the jet stream now, and the air resistance was quite low. Parachuting at this height would be impossible to do as there would be no stability to properly control the parachute with little resistance offered by the winds.
