CHAPTER 44

After Mia left, Gabe sat in the house with a dull expression.

A part of him wanted to confess his feelings for her, but another part of him told him that if she had the least bit of romantic feelings toward him, she would have at least hugged him after he fought his four friends.

Gabe could see care in her eyes, but he didn’t see any sort of romantic feelings. Why would she feel that way about someone who was cross-eyed? This was the reality he had to live with all his life.

Nothing changed in this aspect even though he had acquired a system.

He had already asked Systa if it was possible to cure his cross-eyes, but the system told him it wasn’t possible for any system to cure something a person was born with. Because he was 32 years old, it wouldn’t be possible to make his eyes right with surgery, either. Meaning, he would need to live with his cross-eyes for the rest of his life.

He stayed down until Nicole came home.

And he acted normal.
