CHAPTER 69

Two black SUVs stopped outside Gabe’s house.

Eight tall, heavy men dressed in black suits stepped out. If they were to stand side by side, they would cover the width of the street and some more. One of them was more fat than he was muscular. It was Cynthia’s one and only brother, Daniel Foster, the infamous bully back in Gabe’s school days.

He used to forcefully take anything from other students whether it be pens or books or even lunch boxes. One of the school teachers was his uncle, so nobody dared to complain about Daniel back then.

“See if that little punk is inside,” Daniel lit up a cigar. “If he is, then drag his ugly little ass out.”

“Yes, Brother.” Two of the men in black suits started walking toward the house.

Inside the house.

“As long as I’m around, I won’t let you cry,” Gabe assured his aunt. “Even if I’m married, I will take care of you. Even if you’re married, I’ll take care of you.”
