CHAPTER 74

Bart fell on the neighbor’s roof.

Gabe was running forward, seemingly to jump onto the neighbor’s roof, but Mia stopped him. “That’s enough. You are bleeding.” She used her scarf to tightly wrap it around his head.

“I have to break his bones, Mia. Otherwise, he’s going to attack you again,” Gabe said in a shaky voice because his whole head was hurting.

“Look, he’s not getting up,” Mia said. Bart had indeed lost his consciousness. “We’ll deal with him later. First, you should get treated.” She grabbed her phone with her bloody hands and dialed for an ambulance, but he stopped her.

“There’s no need. This wound will heal by itself,” he said.

“Huh?” Mia looked at him as if a screw in his head had gone loose.

“Can you close your eyes for a few seconds?” he asked.

“Why?” Mia looked confused. Just what reason could he have for him to ask such a question?

“Please,” he softly said.

Mia quickly shut her eyes.

Gabe then turned away from her and took out the copper ring from his underwear before
