Chapter 4: MEETING AN ALIEN

A strange day just passed, it ended with my mother's scolding.

Today is Sunday, but I still have to get up early to study. I've always wanted to have a good night's sleep, but because of the effects of coffee, I can't. I have to drink more than 2 cups of coffee every day to stay awake. I know it's bad for my health, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Almost everyone likes Sunday because they don't have to go to school or work, they just rest and do the things they like such as shopping, watching TV, going out, etc. My mother also takes the day off work. Sunday is a terrible thing because she watches me all the time. She does not let me rest or entertain even for a moment. So I hate weekends more than other days. In general, I hate all days of the week. If I don't study at home, I'll study at school, and take extra lessons from noon until late at night. But, now I have a different feeling about this life, even if just a little bit. Even if the ARXX organization deceives me, I still feel quite happy because of this strange experience. But I don't know if it's a side effect of the black water I drank, but I often have headaches, and my ears are ringing.

"When you're done with your study, give this to Mrs. Luna" - My mother says.

I follow my mother's orders and leave the house. It's been a long time since I've been out on a Sunday. I want to go a little slower so I will not have to go back to that gloomy house, but unfortunately, Mrs. Luna's house is very close to the apartment I am staying in. It only takes about 7 minutes to get there. I stand ringing the bell for a long time but there is no answer, I try turning the doorknob and find it is not locked. When the door opened, the scene before me makes me extremely surprised that I backed away, intending to turn around and run away.

Suddenly a hand pulls my shirt back, leaving me struggling. I use all my strength to tear my shirt to get rid of the woman with the bloody face, and the corpse of Mrs. Luna lying on the floor. The strange woman uses her bloody hand to squeeze my neck and pull me inside. I kick her off with my foot but accidentally step on a pool of Luna's blood and fall. The fishy smell makes me want to vomit, I try to crawl towards the door but she stops me. She grabs Luna's body and yanks the head out, and blood is sprayed all over the room and my face. I roll my eyes as I watch the woman's head falls automatically. She covers Luna's head with her own body. A strange light appears that blind me, and when I look back, I discover that everything is back to normal.

“Do you come here to give me something, Daisy?” – Mrs. Luna smiles gently and kindly asks me.

"Stay away!" I yell and turn to run away.

As soon as I run out the door, I bump into the man whom I saw yesterday - BB. He looks at me and then runs over to Luna. She sees BB and immediately backs away, holding a knife to threaten him. The man's hand suddenly emits an electric current, then quickly rushes to Luna's place. She lets out a scream and disappears immediately. I stand in heaven and am very surprised.

“Is she… an alien?”

The man nods and replies:

“I don’t expect you to meet them so soon. Perhaps they were attracted to your power.”

I still have not stopped panicking over what had happened, asking the man in a trembling voice:

“Do they… kill people and live with their identity?”

“Not really. The things you just saw are D-rank so they function like that. As for the more advanced ones, they will absorb humans to become stronger. And their favorite food is healthy and smart people.”

It is horrible, all of this is beyond my imagination.

“But why did everything return to normal even though it was covered in blood just now?”

"That's their power, maybe they create a virtual space and you accidentally got caught up in it"

I sit down, face lost and extremely scared. Can I kill those aliens? Am I brave enough to face these monsters? They are horrible! Just thinking back to the scene just now, I am vomiting.

“Are you all right, Daisy?” – The man asks, reaching out his hand and helping me up.

I don’t answer but he must know that this is not okay. No one can stay calm when witnessing a scene of murder like this.
