CHAPTER 27: RUNNING FROM DANGER

I ran as fast as I could out of the doors of Stermyertina. The wolves ran faster than my human feet could ever carry me. I knew that I couldn’t outrun them so I decided to hide behind a tree while they ran past me. I huffed and puffed, trying to catch my breath while I looked at Stermyertina from outside its gates.

I wasn’t safe yet and I knew that I wasn’t thinking rationally either but all my human instincts urged me to do was run as fast as I possibly could and get as far away from Stermyer. I managed to get my breathing under control again when loud sirens began sounding in Stermyer and dozens of guards started running out of Stermyertina.
