Chp 167 - Vestige Of Guilt

Adam jolted as the sword crashed beside him.

He swore that thing would give him a heart attack one day.

He cautiously raised his head and saw everyone gaping at him.

No, it was more that they were gaping at the sword he bent to pick.

Everyone who had gone out to wait for him quickly rushed back to see the aftermath of the gunshot and shattering sound they heard.

“Adam, are you okay?” Lisa asked anxiously.

Adam turned to them and nodded.

The look of enormous relief on Layla’s face was unmistakable.

That was when Adam got a better look at the general.

He was not only gaping.

He was bleeding as well.

There were about seven shallow holes drilled in his cheeks, arms, thighs, and one of his shoulders.

Even as blood dripped to the floor, Adam’s sharp eyes could see the black pellets that were embedded in each of those bloody holes.

No wonder they were all looking at the sword.
