Ethan walked quickly down the marble-floored hallway toward his dad's big office.

The sound of his leather shoes could be heard barely. He was thinking about things after dropping Sanaya off at her class.

He always thought of her when he wanted to keep things simple and enjoy the present.

It wasn't easy for him, though, because of the weight of his family name.

Ethan took a deep breath and opened the heavy wood door.

Richard Elliot, his father, was reading through a stack of papers behind a large wooden desk.

When he looked up, his sharp eyes locked on Ethan.

"Ethan," his dad said, pointing for him to sit down.

Ethan sat down in the chair across from him,"Dad.I wanted to discuss something important—an investment proposal."

Richard gave me a curious look. "Go on."

After clearing his throat, Ethan put a folder down on the desk.

"I have given a lot of thought to how I can help the family business without just getting paid to use our name. I've planned out a small job that I can do while

She said hello and jumped into the passenger seat."Morning," He responded, and sat down in the driver's seat."Are you ready for today's lesson?"Sanaya nodded. “Absolutely. But we’re switching things up today. No more quiet forest routes.”Ethan gave me a strange look. "Oh?" Where do you want to go?"She said, "To the main market.""The main market?" Ethan said it again, a little scared. "Do you not think that's a bit of a leap? The traffic is crazy there."Sanaya brushed off his worry. "You can do this. Also, I need to get a dress.""A dress?" He pulled onto the road and asked, "What for?"She smiled. "Want to join for the talent hunt competition in the college!""I’m performing a dance piece, and I need something amazing for the stage.”Ethan gave her a

The other staff members couldn't be heard because of Carlo's deep, authoritative voice, which cut through the tension. The salesperson stepped forward quickly, and her tone was both too nice and protective. "Sorry, Mr. Carlo—just a small misunderstanding." “This man was—"Carlo had already looked at Ethan, though, and his face changed from interest to recognition. He broke out in a big smile and walked forward, ignoring the other person completely."Hi, Ethan Elliot!" Carlo yelled and put out his hand. "This is the moment I've been waiting for. It's great to finally meet you.”When Ethan saw Carlo, he blinked in surprise and knit his brows together. "Have we met before?" he asked, with a cool.Carlo stepped closer, and as he did, his eyes lit up with excitemen

At its busiest, the talent show competition filled the college hall with lively noise. Ethan was in the crowd and nervously tapped his knee.He kept his eyes on the stage as a band finished their performance. "And now, let's welcome Sanaya Kapoor to the stage!" The host said with a big smile as he crossed the stage to the next act.The crowd made a noise when Sanaya's name was called. Along with the cheers and whispers, a group of so-called "bad boys" in the back row laughed and made sexy comments."Does she really think those cute little moves will make anyone like her?" one of them laughed."She'd do better if she gave us a private show backstage," said someone else with a mean grin.Ethan clenched his teeth and made fists with his hands. Even though he was getting angry, the lights in the theater went down and a soft music filled the room before he could do anything. The only light on the stage lit up Sanaya's outline as she walked on. She stood tall and straight, and her face

She had a warm smile on her face, but her eyes were like cold blades pointed at Melissa."Well, Melissa, you would know all about people who need help, wouldn't you?" Sanaya said in a sweet way. "After all, wasn't your last boyfriend still getting everything paid for by his parents, even your fake designer bags?"People in the crowd tried not to laugh, and Melissa's face turned red, but she wasn't going to give up. "At least I don't have to act like someone else to get attention."Sanaya cocked her head and smiled steadily. "Oh, is that what you mean when you jump from one poor person to the next?Being real?Or Shameless!!"Melissa's sharp look made Ethan frown, but he couldn't hide his enjoyment.

French aristocracy. Untouchable in high society. But underneath?” She turned the screen to show a classified intelligence report with the word DANGEROUS stamped across the top.“She’s not just a criminal, Ethan. A deep scowl creased his face as he scrolled through decades of financial transactions, each one confirming the truth he had desperately wanted to deny. His father had been funding The Serpent for years. Not just small sums—we’re talking billions. Hidden in offshore accounts. Funneled through shell companies. Tied to governments, illicit businesses, and war profiteering operations across the world.Lisa stood beside him, arms crossed, her face hard. “This isn’t just bad, Ethan. This is catastrophic.”Harris, pacing by the window, let out a low whistle. “No wonder they’re pissed. With Dominic gone, they lost their puppet and their funding. The bodies had been removed, but the message remained—scrawled across the blackened walls in dark red streaks.“You took our king. Now we take yours.”Ethan’s jaw clenched as he studied the words, each letter dripping like an open wound. He didn’t need a forensic team to confirm it—this was blood. A message, personal and deliberate.Lisa approached cautiously, her voice low. “This isn’t just about Dominic. The Serpent isn’t retreating, Ethan. They’re evolving.”Ethan exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. He knew better than to assume victory meant safety. Dominic was gone, but the organization that had built him wasn’t.“They’re making it clear,” he murmured. “They’re not after my company, my money, or my name. They want blood.”Lisa met his gaze, h
