CHAPTER FIVE: ARREST THE THIEF.

"And what happens when the manager arrives and nothing is done to me?" Lucian scoffed, unable to ignore Summer's rudeness. She needed to be taught a lesson or two.

"Then I'll walk out of this mall with my head bent in shame, you bastard!"

"Call the manager." Lucian said to the receptionist.

"Yes sir."

Seconds later, a beautiful lady arrived the scene closely followed by Marcus. As Summer saw them, she smiled, like she had just won a lottery.

"This bastard here was caught stealing by me and was about to woo the receptionist in order to get away with his crimes. Not only that, he shows no remorse for his actions. I want him locked up!"

Marcus rushed to Lucian, concern plastered on his face. "Young Master, are you alright?"

Summer blinked. "What nonsense are you saying? Young Master? I said this bastard just stole expensive items and you're asking about his well being?"

No one said a word to Summer's ranting, instead, the manager walked towards Lucian.

"Master Lucian, nice to finally meet you. I'm very sorry for the inconveniences."

Lucian smiled widely as he shook her hands. He did not look surprise as to why the manager treated him so respectfully. Marcus must have spread the word.

Summer blinked rapidly at the turn of events. Why was no one acknowledging her? Why were they paying so much attention on this son of a bastard when she was a well known client of this company?

"What's your name?" Lucian asked the lady.

"I'm Dora, sir."

"Dora, first, I want this woman here to pick up every piece of clothing on the floor and arrange them neatly into the bag," Lucian said, meeting Summer's gaze.

The air was thick with tension as everyone directed their attention to summer who stood dumbstrucked.

She opened her mouth to curse, then snapped it shut as if deciding against it, then slowly, she gasped.

"What?!"

Dora stepped forward with a frown. "Ma, this young man here by every standard is not a thief, but a distinguished figure in this company."

Summer scoffed. "What the heck are you saying?! Lucian is just an ordinary cleaner, you don't know him better than I do!"

"We'll discuss that after you pick up the clothes from the floor. Not only are you an insensitive woman, you're also callous!" Lucian glared.

"The order is that you arrange the clothes neatly into the bag, don't keep us waiting," Dora snapped.

"Why are you acting like I'm not a regular client here, Dora? Why are you supporting this idiot!"

"Pick up the clothes!" Dora said in authority. "A word from you and I'll make the security force you to carry out the order!"

One look at the stern face of Dora and it was evident that she'd carry out the threat. Summer felt a chill run through her spine. Never had she been ordered around like this, especially not for someone this poor. What was happening?

"Secur…"

"I'll do it, stop…" Summer pleaded and began to arrange the clothes into the bag. If security were to throw her out disgracefully, then her name would be ridiculed among her competitors in the market. She could not afford for that to happen.

Just then, five black Jeep pulled up in front of the mall and armed men with guns and dark glasses stepped out. The sound of the engine screamed wealth.

People gathered slowly in whispers as they stared at the sudden happening.

"Young master, it's time to leave." Marcus whispered into his ears.

Lucian nodded and directed his attention to Summer. "Bring the bag to the car,"

At his words, Summer was slightly pushed by one of the guard. One look at his dangerous face and she hurried to the car, placing the bag gentily before Lucian.

He sent her a smirk. "Learnt a lesson or two?"

The lines around Summer's lips twisted into a curve and she struggled to control her emotions. Better than anything, she'd love to rip this bastard into thousand little pieces and bury his remains in a shallow gutter, but she dared not do so, not with all these powerful men surrounding him like he were a god.

Instead, she eyed him despicably, but as she was about to leave, his voice stopped her. "Dora, make sure she pays double for damages or else don't make her leave."

"Yes sir…" she bowed.

At Lucian's command, the car sped off spreading it's dust on Summer who still could not believe what was happening.

"How about dressing into something more attractive?" Marcus said as the journey progressed.

"No, I prefer to meet my father dressed like this."

….

The car entered through a golden gate and all the men got out of the car.

"Master Lucian, please step down." A hefty guard said respectfully.

Lucian nodded and climbed down from the car. His eyes were fixed on the huge mansion that was designed with gold and marble. It was so beautiful.

"Master, let's go inside."

There was a spread of bubbles in his stomach as Lucian followed Marcus, the excitement of meeting his family, his father, his blood.

A private elevator took them to a pentsuite that was designed with plush carpets and rugs. Soft music played from a hidden sound system at the corner of the room. Lucian cleared his throat as he took a clear view of the beautiful skylines and the various artistic designs on the wall.

Marcus gestured for him to sit on a plush sofa just as he handed him a glass of wine.

"Please exercise a little patience, young Master. I'll be back." Marcus bowed and left the room.

Lucian nodded, he feared to speak, otherwise his voice might come out shaky. A few minutes later, the door opened and a man walked in, followed closely by Marcus and several armed men.

He was neatly dressed in an expensive white suit, his hair attractively cropped. His blue eyes were clear and direct, filled with authority.

When the man noticed Lucian, he smiled widely.

"Lucian, son, welcome home,"

Lucian turned sharply in the direction of the voice and he straightened in his seat like a sharpened pencil when his eyes met the blue gleaming gaze of the man in front of him.

Gosh!
