CHAPTER 8

Karina was sobbing profusely she had tried calling Theodore but he wasn't answering making her more worried.

No matter how angry he was he would still answer her call to tell her he was okay. But now he wasn't answering.

"You still can't get a hold of him?" Helen asked.

"Yes, nanny I'm worried." Karina said she was still mad at Robert for saying all those things about her mom but she needed to be sure Theodore was okay.

"Who are you people?" Theodore asked alarmed he wasn't just going to follow anyone he sees he might be depressed but he was still sane.

"Someone wants to speak with you." One of the men replied.

"And may I know who this someone is?" Theodore asked and they hesitated they were asked not to say a word about who their boss is.

"Our boss wants to speak with you." One of them replied.

"What does your boss want from me?" Theodore asked.

"We don't know sir, all we know is we were asked to bring you to him. He said he just wants to talk." Leo the leader replied.

"Excuse me for a second." Theodore said finally noticing his phone was vibrating.

"Hello."

"Why weren't you answering you calls you got me worried." Karina's shaky voice resounded.

"Sorry my phone was on silence." Theodore replied.

"Where are you I want to see you?" Karina asked Theodore knew she was really sadden he was too.

"I'm sorry Rina I'm going to meet someone I'll see you when I get back." Theodore replied.

"Where are you going and who are you going to meet?" Karina asked a bit worried.

"Don't worry I'll go home after I'm done I'll talk to you later." Theodore said disconnecting the call.

"Hello." Karina called out but Theodore already disconnected the call.

"Let's go." Theodore said to the guards and they heaved a sigh of relief. He had nothing to lose besides the men could easily abduct him if they really wanted.

They opened the door for Theodore and he got in.

"You did a good job darling." Dalia praised Robert.

"I want to be alone." Robert said walking into his office and closing the door.

He felt remorseful for saying all those things about Kendra. He loved her so much and even after finding out Theodore wasn't his, he didn't feel too much pain he knew he was the reason why she went to the bar that day to drink...

He didn't even want to face Karina cause he knows how crazily mad she would be at the moment. He had to protect his reputation he was doing it for her sake too wasn't he?

Theodore was actually surprised whoever wanted to talk to him lived in that neighborhood it was a place for the awfully rich. He was led inside the house, Theodore kept looking around the house. He wasn't from a poor family but he had to admit whoever owned the villa had a great taste.

A door was pulled open and they led him in.

"Sir, he is here." Oliver reported and left some of the guards still stood there.

"Welcome Theodore, I'm sure you must be surprised as to why..." He said turning to look at the young man only to see his bodyguards were still there and even his closest man Oliver was already out the door.

"Why are you all standing there? Do you want to lose your jobs?" He barked and they bowed immediately scurrying away.

"Sorry about that my subordinates can be nosy sometimes. Please sit." He said calmly.

"Who are you sir?" Theodore asked.

"Ah sorry I should have introduced myself first. My name is Charles Wyatt." He introduced.

'Charles Wyatt? The richest man in San Diego?' Theodore thought.

No wonder the house he was in looked spectacular.

"It's an honour to meet you Mr Wyatt." Theodore finally said after digesting all that he heard.

"I'm not so sure you'll feel that way after hearing what am about to say. Like I said please sit." Charles said.

Theodore finally sat down. He felt a bit nervous, he was in front of a big shot. Who was thirty times wealthier than his father, or step father.

"I'm sorry about everything that happened today Theodore and I know you've been through a lot since your twenty fifth birthday." Charles said calmly.

'Was this man following up on his story? Why does he know a lot about him when he doesn't even know anything about him except for the fact that he led a very private life.'

"Well since you already know Robert is not your father, I'm pretty sure you're wondering who is?" Charles asked and Theodore didn't know where the conversation was heading so he just let him talk.

"I'm your father Theodore." Charles said and Theodore was surprised beyond measures.

"My... Father?" Theodore asked just to be sure.

"Yes." Charles answered.

"But... How?" Theodore stammered.

"Well I want to share a tale of my past with you."

"Are you just like Robert? Do you use and dump women?" Theodore asked he didn't know why he asked that question but he just felt like asking.

"I'm pretty sure you know there was never a scandal between me and any woman. Your mother and I just found ourselves in a situation we couldn't avoid..."

"What are you talking about?" Theodore asked.

"Someone set your mother up. That day at the bar, your mother just wanted to drink her sorrows away and return home but it would seem her enemies didn't want that they had other plans." Charles said.

"So how did mom end up with you?" Theodore asked

"She was drugged and so was I, she was taken to the club I mean my club. I had asked the manager to get the key to my room ready I wanted to be alone and flush the drugs off my system. But they led your mother into the wrong room and we ended up sleeping together." Charles explained.

"So you mean they wanted my mom to be raped and make it a public affair?" Theodore asked.

"So it would seem, after I woke up the next morning your mom was gone. But I decided to look into how she ended up in my room."

"Would you like to be my heir?"
