"James will never do that to me," Sarah said, but even she did not believe her words.

"You don't believe it. You don't believe that he won't." Theodore laughed at her.

"You do not know James Johnson like I do. He is an honorable man, not like you! He has dignity and he loves me! Not like you!" Sarah said defensively.

Williams broke into a strange laughter that rang out. "We'll see. He would never admit it. I wouldn't. No man would. At the end of the day, we all have our pride."

Sarah felt her heart skip several beats as he walked away from her, and crossed the street. His words rang out in her ears as she stepped out of the elevator, and into the apartment. She had not even heard the greetings of the officers outside.

As she walked into the house, her phone rang. It was Viola. Sarah let out a sigh, completely tired and not in the mood to deal with her.

She answered the phone nonetheless. "Hello, Viola." Sarah emulated an exaggerated excitement.
