A blue car drove into the compound of the care foundation hospital. The vehicle reversed to park well at the parking lot. Both doors of the car swung open, as two individuals walked out of it. A man in his twenties, who was the driver of the car, and a teenage boy.
The man was dressed in a blue turtleneck sweater, red trousers and a pair of blue sneakers, matching his attire. His hair was black and curly, and his eyes were gray. The boy was cladded on a black top shirt, green pants and a pair of red sneakers. His black spiky hair was charming, and his dazzling amber eyes radiated sunlight. They both were revealed to be Nathan Sean and Alexander Vincent. They had arrived at the hospital of which Jordan was admitted in. The hospital wasn't that big, it was only a five storey block. But Its compound expanded widely, housing at the right hand side, a lot for parking ambulance trucks, and the left hand side, as the public, free parking lot. Its surroundings were adorned with flowers of different sorts, beautifying the environment. They walked into the building, were they met with the receptionist, at the counter."Greetings ma'am, a friend of ours was admitted to the hospital yesterday. The one that his limb was bitten off by a wild animal. Victor Jordan." Sean spoke politely to the receptionist. The receptionist blushed immediately, he was so charming that she couldn't stop herself from chuckling, her cheeks reddened in excitement. She hurriedly operated her keyboard, still smiling brightly. She directed him to where Jordan's room was located. She couldn't stop the urge to approach him first."Here's my card, my number is there. You can call me anytime you're free, let's have dinner together." She blushed. Sean nodded to her suggestion and smiled; " Thank you so much for your wonderful help, ma'am." Vincent rolled his eyes, feeling irritated, he could tell that the lady at the counter was much older than Sean. "So are you going to call her?" He inquired."Nah! Not at all. Playing along helps me get over this omen of mine. Wouldn't want to break a lady's heart by rejecting her offer." Sean replied, as they walked away from the board, heading towards Jordan's ward."So this isn't the first time. An occasional omen. So tell me, did you use some kind of occultic charm to get women to fall for you. I mean given what you did yesterday, I clearly doubt you're not an occultist." Vincent said"Well sorry to burst your bubbles, but I am not an occultist, neither do I use some charms for good looking, to attract women to me, am just naturally charming. You can call it beautiful, cause I exceed handsomeness." Sean boasted. "And for whether I am an occultist, I am not. And I see what you're doing. You're trying to force words out of my mouth, but as I would always say. The information behind my occupation and what I do is classified."They arrived in front of a room. Sliding the door open, they spotted Jordan at the far end of the room. He sat up on the hospital bed, and his mother sat beside him, on a chair. Both Jordan and his mother quickly looked towards the door, immediately they heard it slide open. Sean and Vincent stepped into the room, and slide the door close again. "Hey Vincent." Jordan called out, immediately he sighted him from the entrance."Good morning Mrs Victor." Vincent greeted Jordan's mother."Morning dear, how do you do?" Mrs Victor responded, asking how he faired."Am good, ma." He replied."How's your mom fairing? She let you skip school today?" Mrs Victor inquired."She's very good, ma. Well she suggested I miss school today, so I could keep Jordan company." Vincent responded, now settling his gaze towards Jordan, who wasn't even paying attention."That's nice of her. Send my regards to her." Jordan's mom said. "Well I better excuse you lads to discuss." She let out a warm smile, exiting the room."How are you, Jordan?" Vincent inquired."Well apart from watching a monster eat up my leg. Am good, all thanks to the fellow behind you" Jordan replied, referring to Sean, who had stood motionless since they entered the room, without saying a word."How?" Vincent asked, not understanding what Jordan meant."Well, the doctor said that the person who stopped the bleeding was a lifesaver and a professional. He said if not for him, I would have bled to death, or worse the wound would have been infected." Jordan answered. "Thank you so much for saving my life, Sean." He added. A warm smile escaping his lips.Vincent turned back, to glare at Sean, who wasn't responding."Why ain't you saying a thing? He said thank you, reply for God's sake." Vincent demanded."Hmph! This entire building is steaming of devil energies. This entire hospital has devil spirits lurking everywhere!" Sean exclaimed, his gray eyes picking up the negative purple auras."Wait, you mean this hospital has a lot of that thing that we encountered at the alleyway? Doesn't that mean people ain't save here?" Jordan questioned, he was terrified, hearing the news that the hospital was cladded with devil spirits all over the place."It is not something to bother yourselves with, they won't harm a soul. They're mostly here to torment patients and maybe doctors." Sean assured, but the impression on his face was far from fading off. 'It is just as I thought. There is an exorcist in this town, carrying out commands in the shadows. I have to find him or her quickly.' He thought to himself.Remembering the incident at the alley way, Vincent felt bittered. He had been blaming himself for Jordan's predicament. And he felt that he should seek his apology."Am sorry Jordan. I am very sorry for allowing this befall you. If only I didn't fight Henry back, he wouldn't have implanted such a deadly item inside your backpack, and you wouldn't be lying helplessly on a hospital bed." Vincent fell to his knees, beside the bed, shedding tears, bitterly."I am really sorry. It should've been me and not the other way around."Jordan gave him an intense stare. "So you're saying all the fun we had with that thing was a mistake. All my life Vincent, I never believed in supernatural essences. But you Vincent, you gave me the opportunity to witness one, with my very own eyes, so even though it caused me a leg, at least I had gained an important knowledge. Not like I died!" Jordan exclaimed, with a big smile engraving his lips, ushering Vincent to get up. Sean was puzzled, he hadn't seen such strange kids in his entire life. He, himself didn't see the job of slaying devil spirits as an interesting thing. He believed that when humans face the tempt, and their eyes are wide open to the hidden things of the world, then life becomes miserable. You begin to see strange phenomenons, tragic sights. One feels being haunted, for devil spirits believe that the souls or flesh of exorcists are far sweeter to their taste. So it wasn't easy living such a terrifying life. And here's this kids rejoicing about it."So did Brian come to visit?" Sean suddenly asked, trying to find out the reason why he wasn't present."He did. But he kept blaming himself for my misfortune, I kept trying to convince him, but it was already in his head. He suddenly left. My fear is that he might go face off with Henry." Jordan responded, adjusting himself, resting his back to the pillow."Sean, can we stop at Brian's home, to see if he's there?" Vincent asked, locking eyes with Sean."Alright kid, but note this, I am not your free getaway car. I might charge you for the ride." Sean inclined."Okay, I get it. Jordan, see you tomorrow. I will bring some flowers for you, okay!" Vincent ensured."Don't even dare. Keep your flowers to yourself, I am not a lady." Jordan responded, immediately."Hehe!" Vincent chuckled. "Okay, bye!"****Sean was steering the car, taking Vincent home. They had earlier dropped at Brian's house, where they talked some sense into him. He was now going to drop Vincent off at home. It was already noon, and he didn't want Vincent's mom scolding him. He looked at Vincent for a second, before withdrawing his eyes to the road."How would you react if you were asked to quit your current school, and come to school in the city?" Sean inquired, awaiting the lad's response."That would feel totally insane. Why would I want to leave my school, my friends? No, I definitely can't leave them behind." Vincent responded, not aware of Sean's true intentions. 'Why would he ask me that?' He questioned himself."You remember I told you that you need to meet up two offers before I can unveil any classified information to you. Well the first is for you to join the prestigious school for exorcists, then take the exams and pass, and become an exorcist in training. Only then would you acquire more knowledge about the supernatural world amongst us." Sean continued."Well sorry, man. But you can keep your classified information to yourself, I am not quitting my school, and following you to God knows where." Vincent said, giving Sean a cold stare."It's not a choice you can make. Am only being fair to you because I pick a liking in you, and I believe you have more hidden potentials to unlock, but the higher-ups have given a sentence. They sentence you to death, kid. I suggested that we put you in our care, and keep you in check. And if you reject the offer of being overseen by the exorcists themselves, then I am afraid that you would be exercised, kid, as a devil spirit." Sean added. "Yesterday at the alleyway, what awakened from within you is what we refer to as a devil spirit. Powerful and indestructible devil spirits were sealed into the body of ordinary humans who couldn't access the devil energy. Then as the human slowly ages and eventually dies, the devil spirit sealed inside of them dies also. But when the vessel accesses devil energy, it tempers the seal reincarnating the past devil spirit into the vessel's body. Right now Vincent, you're inexperienced, and thus, your body leaks out energies that attract devils to your location. You could put this entire town in danger. Think about your mom. What if they attack you and repeated what they did to your friend's leg.""I can't do what you're asking me to do. I can't leave this town. I can't leave my family and friends. No. So if your folks want to kill me, they can come do it. I don't even know why you all are bothered, I am totally fine, and perfectly taking charge of my body. See no malevolent entity." Vincent replied.Sean stepped on the brakes, and the car came to a stop. He gave Vincent a stare one more time. "Suit yourself kid. But whenever you wish to take the offer, I will be there." Sean spoke. "Well right now, get your ass out of my car. We're at your house."Vincent let out a faint smile, as he opened the door of the car, stepping out. "Thanks for the ride." He muttered, heading into the house. Sean shook his head sideways, which signifies being pitiful. "He would definitely come around, when he figures out that he doesn't belong to this small environment." He muttered out loudly."Well he better do, if not I would just follow the orders and exorcize him immediately." A voice erupted from the back passengers seats, in his car. A lady dressed in a dark blue trench coat, black pants, and a pair of black combat heels. She was a blonde, with hazel eyes, probably in her mid twenties."He would, trust me Ver." Sean smirked, starting the car's engine, and driving off.The next morning, Vincent woke before the sun rose. He did some pushups and situps, exercising his body. While under the act, his alarm clock rang, he quickly stopped exercising. An alarm that was meant to wake him up, now served as a reminder that he needed to freshen up. He walked into his bathroom to take his bath. Few minutes later, he walked out of his room, dressed in his school uniform, a white short sleeved shirt, dark blue trousers, dark blue tie, a pair of white shoes and a bag hung to his back. He gently walked down the stairs, heading to the dining table. As usual his mouth was dishing out the meal. They exchanged greetings, and he ate his breakfast. He hurriedly rushed down their building, assuming that his friends were outside, waiting for him. It was when he was outside, that he remembered that Jordan was still at the hospital. His face wore a saddened expression. He surveyed his surroundings, searching for Brian. But the latter was present. "That lazy bones isn't o
At the wonder ville subway station, the train had just arrived, braking to a stop, as it erupted a rumbling sound to the atmosphere. People were already at standby, waiting for the doors of the train to open. And when it finally did, they waited for the passengers to get off, to make way out of the train, so they could board the train. As the doors of the train automatically opened, crimson liquid streamed from within the train, like a gushing waterfall, bathing the standbys in blood.Thud! An object fell to the floor of the train, rolling out of it towards a lady. "Aaahh!!" The lady screamed loudly, drawing everyone's attention to her. The people who had been so frustrated, after being soaked by the gushing red liquid, immediately looked towards where the lady was pointing out. "It's a human head!" Someone from within the crowd exclaimed, raising an alarm. "Aaahh!!""Aaahh!""Aaahh! Somebody help." A sudden outrageous scream erupted from the entire surrounding. Someone else had
Vincent, Brian, and Henry and his goons were immediately summoned to the principal's office. Mr Parker was unhappy, because of what he had witnessed. "How dare them fight inside the school premises!" He said to himself, feeling really upset. He had listened to their pointless explanations, without gaining a single clue to what they were insinuating. From his perspective, he felt that they were fooling him just to get away with what they had done. And he, who he was going to punish for the incident was..."Vincent, how dare you and Brian assault a fellow student. A senior for that matter. It seems like you two now feel like you're above the school's rules and regulations." Mr Parker promptly said. "But sir.." Henry wanted to speak, but he was quickly interrupted by their principal."No buts, Henry. You and your colleagues acted out of self defense. Brian assaulted you first. So now you may demise yourselves. Leave me to these troublesome two." He responded, referring to Vincent and
"Oh my goodness. That man just came out from the ground!" Mr Parker exclaimed. He was filled with astonishment, at the same time he was deeply terrified. "W-Who the heck are you people?" He found the voice to question. Receiving no answers, he looked at the boys besides him. They weren't frightened, they were calm, and he could sense the glamor of hope emitting from their faces. 'How come they aren't afraid? Is he the good guy? If so, does that mean those three are the bad guys.' Mr Parker inclined to himself. He had solved the entire equations of questions hovering around his head, with the theories from novels, or movies. A certain point of a movie where the bad guys appear, and the hero makes a dramatic entrance. But he still mumbled to himself, wondering if his theory was accurate. "Even if this is the same scene. This isn't a novel nor is it a movie. This is real life. So, how did that man come out from the solid floor? Or are my eyes deceiving me?" Still floating on the val
The rain poured down heavily to the earth, wetting the grounds, which made the atmosphere cold, resulting to an unbearable night. A man was spotted under the immense downpour, cladded on a yellow raincoat and pairs of black heavy-duty boots. His name was Hank Miller, a night guard at the Frasers' museum. He had taken a night off, after receiving a distressed call, that his three years old daughter was admitted in a hospital. He took the night off, to go be by her side, given that he was her only parent. Since he had lost his wife during child labor, and he became the only family his little daughter had. He had risked coming out this late at night cause he couldn't slide the thought of leaving her all by herself. Earlier this morning she had complained bitterly to him of stomach offset and headaches. But he thought those weren't major illnesses, so leaving her to the babysitter's care was his only option. Yet the minor illness had gotten her to the hospital bed. If only he had pai
The three young lads continued their walk, they were discussing about the murder incident at the alleyway. Based on the way they responded to it, it felt like the alleyway murder wasn't the first strange death to had occurred in the town. "Another strange death, what's this town turning into?" Brian was the first to raise the issue."You're acting as if our town is the only center of strange deaths, of which are stated to be as a result of a wild animal. Same incidents have been reported all over the country, even in the big cities. Based on estimation, at least a hundred people are reported to have died of strange deaths in a year, and 50% of this strange death victims were tore into shreds. The country is becoming more of a death zone than a home. Wealthy businessmen are beginning to move their families out of the country, leaving the poor and average citizens like us, to be buried along the county's crisis." Jordan explained, the rest of them were marveled by his ways of always re
Vincent walked through the front porch of the senior high building. He had earlier on received a message from Sharon, asking him to meet her in the basketball court. At first he was nervous, all sorts of negative thoughts ran through his head, he even decided not to go, but felt that his judgment would be too harsh, and she might eventually hate him for it. He made the decision to go see her, and was certain that he could break free from any lust thought that came after that.He kept walking, encountering other students in the veranda, they too had sneaked out of class. Well this was his first time sneaking out during lessons, he sure hoped he wouldn't get into trouble. He finally arrived at the entrance of the basketball court, it was indoor, an extremely large hall room made to house both the audience's seats and the player's court. Stepping into the hall room his eyes locked up on Sharon, she sat atop the judges desk, awaiting him. He gently walked up to her."Hey!" Vincent waved
A man dressed in a black leather jacket, white trousers, and a pair of white shoes, walked into an environment, binded by police restriction labels, which were placed to restrict civilians from going into the area, for it was still under investigation. This location was the alleyway, where the murder had taken place. The young man, probably in his mid twenties, was examining the surroundings. His gray eyes, searching for any possible clues, in the environment. He could sense the evil aura emanating within the vicinity, but even with the leaking negative energies, he couldn't sense the malevolent entity. Sigh!He hissed a sigh of frustration, surely the being was toying with him. Not wanting to be seen. "Keep doing what you do best. Hiding. Just give me a minute to get my cigarette, I will be back before you even know it!" The man exclaimed, taking a turn and exiting the lonely alleyway.***Vincent, Jordan and Brian were heading to their respective houses. Usually, they walk home to
