"You mean my dreams are not just figments of my imagination? They are glimpses of another reality?" Thora finally managed to voice her bewildered thoughts.

Lord Magnus nodded, his eyes penetrating hers with an intensity that made her feel exposed. "Exactly, Thora. You possess the rare gift of glimpsing into parallel worlds, other realms beyond our own. Your dreams are windows to these alternate realities."

As Thora tried to grasp the enormity of her newfound knowledge, Lord Magnus continued, "This ability is a manifestation of the magic bestowed upon you by the gods. It's a rare and potent gift that can be harnessed for great purposes."

Thora's mind whirred with questions. "Why me? Why was I chosen for this gift?"

Lord Magnus leaned forward, his presence commanding the room. "The gods work in myst

The folly of Marx's act earned him total resentment and demotion from the King's company. The king gravely pronounced Marx an enemy of the kingdom and until he could take cognisance of the event, he would have Marx kept a prisoner in the dark room. He declared Marx should be kept without food and water, and no one should converse with him under any circumstances. It was indeed vain for Marx to act in that kind of way; a preposterous act. But Marx was one of his most loyal servants, and he needed to be firm in his decision to not allow betrayal to go without punitive measures. He believed that others saw what Marx did and he had to ensure discipline in his realm to not invite treason and treacherous acts taken casually. The king saw his commands even cheerfully obeyed, appointing a guard with strict orders to prevent any food from being conveyed to the prisoner. He dismissed his friends and attendants, and retired to his own chamber, still furious about the birth of the twins not ste

He killed and maimed, and although we were used to it because we were enslaved by humans and felt the humans deserved such inimical treatment, he started killing our own. It became very serious when he hung thirty soldiers for fun of the annual Lefteesha festival that occurs at the end of a year. He declared a bloodbath amongst a platoon of soldiers for a dismal prize. This continued and continued until my best friend and I plotted a coup to overthrow him and his henchmen. CHAPTER 129: WHEN YOU'RE NOT ADVANTAGED ANYMORE

It was the second night without his priced possession in his chambers. It was happening too fast. Funny thing is that as much as he hated it he couldn't execute all his guards. How incompetent were they? To let one man and weakly pertulant female get through them and elope from the castle. Now he was desolate, with no one to trust and no one to rely on. Khal Duraho stood in front of his balcony, his heart racing in his chest. He had been restless for days, his mind consumed with thoughts of Khalodi and Marx. The two men had managed to evade capture for far too long, and Khal Duraho was determined to show them what he was made of.The balcony became small all of a sudden, it couldn't contain him. His heart alone was getting bigger than the vast space. He had no leads, he had failed woefully. He knew they laughed at him secretly and it pained him so much. How smart was Khalodi ? What was the limit to his deception? He had deceived him down to the night of his escape. Life was indeed no
