The new day dawned with its share of woes.

Jason was reluctant to leave the warm arms of his wife after they spent most of the night up and revelling in each other’s bodies. He held her close to his body before toying with her succulent breast. Millicent woke up with a soft moan and repleted sigh.

“Good morning, husband,” she said as she looked seductively up at him from beneath her lashes. She stretched sinuously against him, trailing her fingers along his inner thigh before grabbing his shaft in her hands. Then she gently pushed him onto his back before rising from the bed.

“Good morning, wifey. Hmm, someone is in a perky mood today” he said with a smile as he watched her moved her hair back from her face and bunched it up in a messy bun.

He was already rock hard by the time she set her tongue and teeth on his lap. Biting, licking and sucking, she made her way up from his thighs to the underside of his rock-hard dick. She toyed gently with his scrotal sac, pulling them into her

“You…you thought we offed him?” Andrea laughed out loud on the terrace attached to Jason’s office, where they were having their lunch. They just got back from Bora Bora that afternoon. And Andrea came back hungry. Jason folded his arms and inclined his head at Andrea to show her that he was not joking. Andrea shook her head and bit into the succulent burger in her hand before talking with her mouth half-filled. “As much as I am flattered, boss. That wasn’t us. I mean, yeah. I would have given anything to see the bastard croak myself but nah, that never happened. We did go to Bora Bora but I guess he was never there, seeing as he killed himself or got himself killed in his home at the same time that someone checked out of the hotel in Bora Bora in his name. Hmmm, these burgers are to die for” she said as she bit into her food again. “Andrea here might be oddly flattered by being accused of murder, boss. But I don’t share the same sentiment.” Simon said as he leaned back in his chair

Millicent couldn’t go to the company that morning because she was feeling fatigued and out of sorts. She informed Jason about it and he implored her to stay back at home. He would have stayed with her but he had a meeting with the lawyers that day and Millicent knew that he couldn’t stay back at home in the wake of this new scandal, so she implored him to leave and that she would be fine. He offered to take her to the hospital but she refused, assuring him that he would be fine after resting for a while. “It must be as a result of stress and all. I will be fine after resting in today” she told him and she proceeded to do just that after he left. Isabella prepared hot cocoa for her and she took it. It only stayed down for a minute though before she rushed to the toilet to vomit it. She was glad that Isabella had left her room, if not she would have panicked and probably tell Jason about it and that would only make him more worried. She only needed sleep and she would be good. Millicent couldn’t sleep that night. She tossed and turned in bed as the thoughts on her mind gave her no respite. She finally left the bed and went to sit in the adjoining living room so that she wouldn’t wake Jason. The thought of her pregnancy was the last thing on her mind and was not the reason why sleep had eluded her. It was about the scandal and the fact that things were getting more and more ugly. There were already rumours on the internet that Jason might have something to do with the multimillionaire farmer suddenly committing suicide after he had a lawsuit with Jason. Though there weren’t many talks about that yet, Millicent knew that it was just a matter of time before more fuel will be added to that fire. The major bone of contention at the moment was the issue of the affair. People were already reposting the pictures of Jason and Victoria’s kiss at the hospital. The picture of Jason and Victoria’s compromising posture in front of the bar was also going about again.

  • THE GRAND PATRIARCH IS BACK   Chp 274 - A Trip?

Jason's day was brightened by the news that his lawyers gave to him. The state investigation into Paragon Height's operation proved that there was no issue with their waste disposing system. Sebastian's fishes, who died were as a result of the water in the ponds being poisoned. No culprit had been found for that. And the man who was in the best position to give answers to that was now dead with a suicide note stating that he was sorry for his wrongdoings."That means that the lawsuit has been officially dropped against us, yeah?" Jason asked James Reed, just to be certain."Yes, sir," James said with a beaming smile. "The state would have demanded that he paid a compensation fee to you for defamation if he is still alive. Though you can still choose to sue his business, sir" "And cause his widow more grief?" Jason asked with distaste in his mouth "No way am I doing that. What matters is that we are in the clear now. I am not going to add to anybody's pain" he said.James Reed smiled

"What trip?!" Jason thundered. "I…I have no idea, sir. I thought she told you, sir. She only informed me that she would be back soon, sir. I am sure that she must have left a message for you or something, sir" Isabella said as she wrung her hands and looked away from the anger on her boss's face. "Or something" Jason muttered as the call went straight to voicemail this time. He looked back at Isabella's contrite look and said "I am sorry for yelling at you, Isabel. You are right. It must have been so urgent. She would have left me a message. Let me just check" he said as he headed upstairs. Jason was not really himself by the time he got to their room. He had no idea why she would take a trip without informing him. Had she deceived him when she said that she was still feeling weak? That was the only explanation he could come up with. After all, Isabella had said that she left almost as soon as he left for the office. "Why, Mil?" Why did you lie to me?" he wondered as he scanned th

“How can you not tell me?!” Groggy and still half-asleep, Jason blinked up at the overhead light he had left on as if that would help him make a better sense of what he was hearing. “Uhn?” he said incoherently. “Are you sleep-picking my call, Jason Monroe?” the voice rang clearly in his ears. Jason’s eyes flew open. This time around, he was sure of who it was. Only one person would call him like that. And that tone? She was pissed “Hello, mom""Hello, Mom.Thank God you remember me at least. You sure do not treat me like family!” Celia Kovarick said over the phone. “What do you…?” “Why else would I be the last to hear about this? At the Green Thumbs Club for that matter! Can you imagine how foolish I looked when Paloma Rickson bared her teeth in that uncomfortable way she called a smile and said “Hmm, what a relief that your son is not one of those rich CEOs who had lost their conscience after all. • THE GRAND PATRIARCH IS BACK   Chp 277 - No News....Good News. Right?

Jason had no idea why he was extra emotional as he watched his kids leave with Celia. Maybe because they had no idea that their “vacation” with their grandma was unlike any other that had been made without thinking of what being in the middle of a scandal would do to them. Whoever was behind this had better wish that Jason didn’t lay his hands on them, because their punishment was going to be slow and painful. Jason’s thoughts went to Don again as they had been for days now but he still couldn’t ascertain that he was really behind all this. His men still had no news about Don and Bastion had not got back to him yet. Which means there was no news yet. “No news means good news, right?” Jason thought as he went back into the house. Yet, in this case, he couldn’t really say it with all confidence that this lack of news was a good one. He felt uneasy about not knowing for sure where the next missile might be launched from. At him. His family. Or his company. He updated his people at Celi

Heinrich’s discharge from the hospital was a thing of joy for Jason but he couldn’t postpone his trip to Japan anymore. He was getting worried that Millicent was still not picking up her call yet. It was already over twenty-four hours that she had left. Jason didn’t want to have to bother Heinrich’s delicate health with what was going on in his own life. He had ordered the caretakers with Heinrich to ensure that he did not set his eyes on any newspaper or broadcast that had to do with the scandals. Though Heinrich was fit enough to be discharged, he was still on shaky grounds and Jason was sceptical about just having the caregivers with him at his manor. Especially since the housekeeper had been sent packing after it was discovered that she knew about the fact that the gardener helped to conceal Aria's presence in the manor without saying anything. He would have preferred to have someone else there with th caregivers to handle things and take care of Heinrich as a family would. He wa

The latest of the scandals related to the Monroes was the handover event that turned out to be more than everybody expected. But instead of the event turning out to be the most humiliating for Jason as his enemies expected, it turned out to be the greatest positive publicity that he had ever gotten. Nationally and internationally, people were talking about the man who smartly outwon his evil relatives and helped the FBI and two national police to solve cases that had been open for ages. Sales in Paragon Heights and all their subsidiaries skyrocketed and their shares grew so fast that Paragon Heights' worth went from five trillion dollars to forty-eight trillion dollars in no time, with more potential. Paragon Heights became the Holy Grail of business in California and all over the world. They became the first conglomerate on permanent contract slots for the UN and many international organisations. But eventually, I realise that in a silly way of mine, I was probably hoping that some of her goodness will rub off on me. She looked back at him with a questioning look on her face “With Jason. You are sure that her happiness was not just a show? She wasn’t just acting?” Sonia scoffed “Acting? I mean, who else would chase after someone this hard and for this long because of a silly dream?” she laughed again. Bastion looked at her again and said slowly “Something is different. Your face, that laugh. It is different” he said thoughtfully. “Oh, thank God. Finally, somebody with half a brain. I mean, I am sorry I am not trying to tell you that you have only half a brain. He wants to see Daddy and Isabel was acting weird” Jasmine said thoughtfully. “Oh yes, weird is the least of it,” Millicent thought anxiously. Then to Jasmine, she said “Go and tell Heinrich that we will be there soon” Jasmine skipped out of the room, her school tie swinging like a pendulum on her neck. “You were tossing and turning all night” Jason said to Millicent as she opened her eyes the following morning. He had been watching her for a while. “Uh? Oh, is that so?” Millicent said as she raised her head to accept Jason’s kiss “Hmm, this is surely the best way to wake up” she said as she held him tightly to herself and deepened the kiss. They were both breathing hard when they separated. Jason flopped back on his back, with his hand gently playing with Millicent’s hardened nipples. “Now, that is the best way to wake up,” he said with a chuckle. “No complaints from here,” Millicent said with a smile, then she stood up. Jason turned towards her direction and asked “Now, will you tell me what is wrong? You only toss and turn like that when you have something weighing on your mind. Is this about what I told you? About Silas?” Millicent’s eyes widened as she said “What? No, no. That is not... I mean, yes, what happened to your brother is… well, totally surprising. But I know you

“What?! Since when?” Mia’s shock-laced question resounded throughout her office floor. She looked aside to see some of the employees passing and they paused to look at her. She quickly waved at them with a smile that all was fine and hurriedly went to her door to close it. She turned back, put her phone on speaker and dropped it on her table before she said “Silas Benjamin Rouarke, what the hell are you talking about?” “Wow, that judgy tone of yours is really helpful right now, sister” Silas’s voice resounded in her spacious, elegantly furnished office. Mia raked her hand through her hair, then turned back to say “Oh, helpful? You want help? You had better hope that the host of heavens come down to help you when mom hears about this…this madness of yours!” she snapped at him. “You know what? I really do not have time for this. I must have been mistaken when I thought that I will get a little support at least from you before I talk to Jason and Mom. Guess not. Thanks for nothing” “
