Leaving Ashdell Forest, Tony headed straight for Kuroacan. On the way, he called Mark.

“What happened? Weren’t your men supposed to be watching and protecting my wife?” Tony snapped when Mark picked up.

[My apologies, General. It seems my men were outwitted. They fell into the enemy’s trap.]

“What do you mean? Explain yourself!”

[Well, from the moment your wife entered the insurance company building, our enemies had her in their sights—indirectly at first. They didn’t make their move until she was leaving. It was negligence on my part and my men’s. We deeply apologize, General.]

Tony listened with irritation. How had Jade slipped through the soldiers' protection? If they were in front of him right now, he’d probably run them all over.

“What’s the situation now? Where did they take my wife?” Tony asked, clearly frustrated.

[We’re still working on that, General. We’re tracking their trail. Once we have more information, we’ll update you immediately.]

“Don’t bother!” Tony interrupted, hi

Jeffrey sucked on his cigar one last time, then discarded it, stepping on it to extinguish it."I'll ask one more time, where is my wife?" Tony asked again, colder than before.Instead of answering the question, Jeffrey pulled out the pistol he had hidden in his back. His eyes narrowed. He was gauging Tony's strength."Fine! I'll beat you up until you tell me where you're hiding my wife," Tony said, stepping forward.Jeffrey watched Tony's movements, including how his hands swung as he walked. • THE GREAT GENERAL   The Dark Side of Tony

Mark was in a helicopter taking him to Kuroacan. He couldn't force himself to calm down. Ever since he left, he had been worried about Tony. He was afraid that something very bad had happened to Jade when the war god arrived there.Mark had asked Jessica to use her pretty sophisticated drone to monitor the situation in Kuroacan, specifically at the point Tony was heading to.Jessica was willing to help him, but couldn't promise anything considering the distance from where she lived to Kuroacan was quite far. But a few minutes ago, Jessica called him, saying that her drone was already in Kuroacan and was scanning the situation at the location Tony had visited. But she hadn't seen Tony. That made Mark even more anxious. Through her drone, Jessica had only seen the car Tony usually used, parked outside a large, wide building. Interestingly, in front of the building, there were many people lying down. It seemed they were all dead.Mark asked Jessica to check if Tony was among the people s

  • THE GREAT GENERAL   Military Blockade

Tony drove his car down the empty road with a flat expression. There were absolutely no other vehicles there, confirming Kuroacan's status as a dead district. Interestingly, the situation in Kuroacan was, in a way, similar to Tony's situation; he didn't feel anything, as if he were already dead.In the passenger seat, lying across, Jade was still unconscious. Her face, hands, and legs were full of wounds. Tony couldn't imagine what the damn mafias had done to Jade.Earlier, when Tony went down to the basement and broke down the only door there, he was greeted with a horrifying sight that immediately made the fire inside him ignite and blaze.Jade, in that secret room, was being tortured by the mafias guarding her; eleven in number. They seemed to be playing a fun game with each other, and whoever won could do something to Jade, like slap her or grab her hair, or whip her or light her up with a cigarette. He didn't know if they had just taken drugs or what, but they were acting like cr

The helicopters appeared, unleashing a barrage of missiles. Tony wasn't sure what they were targeting. All he could hear were the deafening blasts and see the plumes of smoke billowing high into the sky.It was clear to him now that these helicopters were reinforcements sent by Mark. This meant the situation behind the second military blockade in front of him would soon be resolved.Tony decided to brake. The two armored vehicles flanking him on either side also came to a halt."It wouldn't hurt to wait a bit," Tony said, glancing at his watch. He turned to look back at his wife, still unconscious. He estimated Jade would regain consciousness in a few hours. The physical injuries she sustained were quite severe for a woman like her."If only I had some water," Tony muttered. He desperately needed a substantial amount of water to use in providing medical assistance to Jade. Unfortunately, he hadn't brought a single bottle of water. And since Kuroacan was a dead district, there wasn't a

Jade's body's response just now was a little unexpected for Tony, making him worried for a moment. But now, after Tony channeled enough pure energy into Jade's body, everything was back under control.Tony sighed. He drank the rest of the mineral water in the bottle he had opened earlier. Channeling a lot of pure energy in a short period of time made him thirsty quickly.Boom! Boom! Boom! The explosions again. Tony turned to the front, seeing more plumes of black smoke. The helicopters were now scattered in several locations. Each one unleashed a merciless barrage of missiles."Emh..."Tony turned to look at his wife. Just now, Jade had murmured. But that was all. Her eyelids were still tightly closed, as was her mouth.Tony reached for the second water bottle and opened the cap. He poured some of the water onto both his hands, one by one. Now it was time for him to finish his effort to cleanse Jade's beautiful face of all those wounds.More or less, Tony did what he had done before,

My apologies,” Mark replied.Tony clicked his tongue, then said, “Do whatever it takes, and make it fast! I don’t care how—you give me the name of the mastermind behind this today.”“Copy that. I'll get my men to work faster,” Mark responded.Mark turned and left, pulling out his phone, seemingly issuing fresh orders to his team assigned to uncover who paid Jeffrey and his mafia to kidnap Jade.Tony sat in a chair facing the bed, gazing at Jade as she lay unconscious. She still hadn’t woken up, but he’d overseen every treatment necessary. The wounds on her hands and legs were now gone, her skin tone gradually improving as the IV fluids worked through her system.“I’m sorry, Jade. You shouldn’t have had to go through this. Unbeknownst to anyone, Tony had slipped a small dose of his homemade remedy into her meal. The potion was designed to speed up the healing process of Jade’s cells. So far, the results were promising. Her face looked fresher and healthier. This was the same potion Tony used when he administered the second and third phases of treatment on her about two hours ago.“All right. I’ll get a vehicle ready,” Tony said, standing up from the edge of the bed and heading for the door.“Tony, wait,” Jade called. He paused and turned back to face her.“There’s a lot I want to discuss with you, but not tonight. Tony asked, raising one eyebrow."I said you can't leave until I tell you my decision," Tiffany replied."What other decision is there? Isn't it clear?"Tony turned his body until he was fully facing Tiffany. Jade did the same as her husband."Starting tomorrow, Jade will be working at PLS Group and holding a strategic position. She proved to you that she can handle your challenge. And she has told you that she rejects your offer and request to help manage your family business. Up to this point, everything should be clear, right?"Tony said it in a slightly raised and arrogant tone. His facial expression and gaze showed that he was quite annoyed.Tiffany glanced at Tony for a moment, then turned her eyes back to Jade and asked, "Are you sure about this decision, Jade? The next day, at Vermaen Hospital..."Are you ready?" Tony asked, having just entered Josephine's hospital room."Just a minute. I'll have a drink first," Jade replied, taking her tumbler from the bedside table and gulping it down."Where are you two going anyway?" Josephine asked; in the patient's bed, she was sitting with her back leaning against the headboard, playing a game on her phone."Watch out, don't drag my daughter into trouble again!" Sasha said sharply.Tony smirked slightly, saying, "You guys can relax. Today, I'm going to take Jade to a good place. Later this afternoon when she sees you again here, you'll hear good news from her directly."Jade had finished drinking and was now closing her tumbler. She glanced at Tony with the corner of her eye. Her face was full of questions."Well, whatever it is, be careful. You know what I mean, Tony?" Josephine said.Tony didn't answer, just raised one eyebrow."Alright, let's go. It's getting late. • Punishment and Decision

Bernard's face instantly turned pale. Tony intended to punish him? What kind of punishment did he mean?"You still remember everything you said in your daughter's hospital room, right, Mr. Valmont?" Tony asked, moving closer to Bernard.Bernard instinctively backed away. A heavy feeling of fear enveloped him.How could he not? Right now, in front of him, Tony's figure suddenly looked bigger, and it was because Tony was letting some of his war god aura out of his body, blazing like a black fire. And not only that, Tony's gaze was so cold. He looked like a cold-blooded killer ready to kill his target."W-w-which one? W-w-what did I say to you back then?"Suddenly, Bernard started to stammer. He was surprised himself when he heard his voice.Tony smiled, but his gaze remained cold. He said, "Well, whether you remember it or not, it doesn't matter. It won't change anything. Right now, here, I'm going to give you the punishment you deserve."Bernard's eyes widened. He saw the black flames

  • A Man With Integrity

Jessica parked her car outside the hospital. With a firm and forceful gesture, Jessica asked Tony to get into her car first. Tony did so with a bored face. Jessica got in through the right door and then closed the car door and locked it."Remember, like I said earlier, this will be our last conversation. So, whatever it is you want to talk to me about, I suggest you finish it right now," Tony said.Jessica turned to look at Tony, finding Tony staring straight ahead. He didn't seem interested in listening to anything she was going to say.But Jessica didn't care. She had wanted to discuss this for a long time. This was the best moment she had so far."As you might have guessed, this is about Michelle," Jessica began."The other day I told you that she tried to end her life by throwing herself into the sea, right? Well, she almost succeeded."I say 'almost' because her heart did stop beating for a few moments. Luckily, with my basic medical knowledge, I managed to give her artificial re

  • This Is Insane!

Bernard Valmont was truly shocked to hear what Tony said. He fell silent for a moment, stunned and looking stupid. But then, he thought that Tony was just bluffing him, because when he thought about it again, what Tony said didn't make sense. So he smirked and laughed. “You bastard! You're trying to play me, huh! How dare you! You think I believe your bullshit?” Bernard scoffed. Tony raised one eyebrow, looking at Bernard strangely. He released his grip on Bernard's left shoulder and pushed Bernard's back with his foot. Bernard fell and his forehead briefly touched the dry and slightly hot hospital floor. "Shit! You're a fucking bastard! You fucking crossed the line, you know that?!" Bernard cursed, glaring at Tony with a flushed face. Of course, Tony didn't care. He just smirked slightly at the corner of his lips. He rubbed the soles of his shoes as if he had just stepped on dog poop. Seeing what Tony was doing, Bernard was really furious. Holding his leg that Tony had broke

  • Arrghh! My Leg!

Even though Bernard had given his orders clearly, none of the police officers approached. They remained in their respective positions, as if they were waiting for the real order. Of course, this made Bernard unhappy. Would these cops only arrest Tony if the one giving them the order was their commander? It was ridiculous if that was the case! Sweep! Bernard pulled back his robe, taking out the pistol he had hidden under it. He cocked the pistol, then pointed it at Tony. "It's okay if you don't want to arrest him right away. I'll cripple him so he can't escape when your commander arrives," Bernard sneered. Jessica turned and looked at Bernard anxiously. She didn't know Bernard Valmont, but it seemed like he was crazy enough. He could actually shoot Tony in front of these cops. Sometimes people who are too rich can act irrationally and not think about the consequences of what they do. "Tony..." Before Jessica could finish her sentence, Tony suddenly stepped forward, acting

  • Shit! We're Too Late!

Tony couldn't believe his eyes. Jessica was standing there, and the way she’d walked straight up to him after stepping off the elevator told him she was here for him. “Tony, there’s something you need to know,” Jessica said, her voice serious. Tony stared at her, trying to process this sudden appearance. “Ma’am, please back away. We’re trying to secure this individual. He’s dangerous,” one of the security guards surrounding Tony said. Jessica glanced at the guard coldly, then ignored him. “Ma’am, please stop right there!” another guard warned. She ignored him again. One of the guards was reassigned from guarding Tony to blocking Jessica. This time, her progress stopped. “Ma’am, for your own safety, please stop approaching and let us—” Whack! Before the guard could finish his sentence, Jessica unleashed a lightning-fast kick, a move straight out of a taekwondo textbook, that landed squarely on his neck. The guard crumpled to the ground, unconscious. The other four
