CHAPTER 035

Alphonse took a sharp left as he drove to the Fischer mansion. It was one of the biggest houses in the Garden district.

Peter gripped the chair, scared to be moving at such speeds at his old age. Alphonse had been driving at speeds of over 80kmph, and it was doubly outrageous because the speed limit in the area was 40kmph.

Alphonse slowed down as he approached the gate. It was over 20ft tall and gave the sense of impenetrability.

He slowed down.

Peter let out a sigh of relief.

As they approached the gate, Alphonse blew his car horn. Almost immediately, the gate fell open slowly. It was opened by two big intimidating men, their firearms clearly displayed.

“What a warm welcome.” Alphonse said, amused.

Peter let out an inaudible grunt as he released his death grip on the chair and collected himself.

The mansion was huge, with five floors. It was reminiscent of a medieval castle.
