As Damian cuddled with Veronica, his gaze drifted to the bathroom slippers Ruby had given him. He suddenly felt the need to return them to Ruby immediately since she would also need them. "I need to step out for a minute," he told Veronica, who lifted her head from his chest, curiosity in her eyes as she watched him get out of bed. "Where are you off to? Ruby wore a pair of dark wash trousers with a black t-shirt and a white sneakers. It was just a bar so there was no need to overdress including the fact that she didn't want to impress Jeremy too much and her plan was to tell him that she has a boyfriend so that his feelings for her won't run deep. Jeremy was a really soft and nice person and Ruby really hoped he would meet someone as amazing as he was. It was when she told him that she and her boss would be returning back to New York soon that she learnt that he was also based in New York. With a sense of purpose, he headed out to meet with the hotel manager, aware that the security team might not readily comply with his request to review the footage.
