Ruby's wrists were bound behind her back, and she struggled to free herself, but the restraints were too tight. As she looked up, Veronica's giggle sent a chill down her spine.

"Finally awake, are we?" Veronica sneered, bending down to taunt them. "I was starting to think you two were going to sleep the day away when you refused to wake up last night.I hate doing this in broad daylight, but you've left me no choice."

Damian's eyes blazed with anger as he sat up, his teeth gritted. "What the hell is going on, Veronica? Have you lost your mind?"

Veronica's expression turned icy. "Too soon to be angry, sweetheart. You have no idea how much it hurts to lose to someone like her... again and again." Her voice rose to a yell. "You left me for her, Damian! Twice!"

Ruby hastily intervened, fearing for her life. "Wait, Veronica, we're not together! Damian and I, we're not a couple."

As Mathew was led away in handcuffs, he sneered at Ashley and Javier. "You think this is over? Just because I'm in here doesn't mean you've won. Nathan will always come after you two, just like I did." Javier chuckled and replied, "You mean the one in police custody? He actually proved himself to be your son, but that got him a cell instead." Mathew's face contorted in shock. "What? No, that can't be!" Javier winked at him. "Hopefully, you'll be cellmates." As Mathew was dragged out of the courtroom, he screamed, "No! That can't be true!" Ashley turned to Javier, confused. "What did you mean? What happened to Nathan?" Javier explained, "Last night, Ruby and I were abducted by Nathan and Veronica. We were trapped in a water tank, and I passed out. But thanks to Ruby's quick thinking, I survived. The police caught them, so they're in custody now." Ashley's eyes widened in shock. "What? As Nathan was led to his cell, he was met with a shocking sight: his father, Matthew, was bullied by older inmates. Matthew, once a formidable figure, now cowered and grovelled, desperate to appease his bullies. Nathan's eyes widened in horror as he screamed, "Dad!" One of Matthew's cellmates noticed Nathan and asked, "Is that your son?" Matthew hesitated, torn between saying the truth and protecting Nathan from potential harm. He knew that if he acknowledged Nathan as his son, the inmates would likely target him as well. With a surge of paternal instinct, Matthew denied any relation to Nathan, hoping to shield him from the harsh realities of prison life.
