Melissa walked into Sky Tower View on a Saturday morning, expecting to visit her sister Ruby as planned. With the lock combinations memorised, she let herself in, only to be surprised by a scene she wasn't expecting. Ruby and a man were fast asleep on the couch, cuddled in each other's arms. Days passed and there was no sign of Veronica in Damian’s life. It felt like she just completely disappeared. Damian called his driver to bring the car immediately he left Mathew's office. It was obvious that Nathan was going to Veronica and so he decided to stop him in case he does anything irrational and he also wanted Veronica to know he has found out about her relationship with Nathan. Hopefully,that would make her shameful and stay away from him. Without parking his car at the appropriate place,Nathan rushed into Prime, Veronica’s Company. Thomas told Ashley about what he and Damian had overheard when he was in Mathew's office and just like he had told Damian, Ashley didn't talk about letting go of Veronica. “Good thing the baby is gone. Our plans are still on track and maybe we can use this to get the upper hand” she had said before calling McLaren's Secretary to book a dinner appointment. Later at night,when Thomas was just getting ready to leave, Damian came into the house. “Why didn't you tell me today is your husband's birthday?” He asked as he approached them. “The information isn't necessary,is it? And how did you know?” “If it isn't necessary,then where I got the information doesn't matter” he said, returning the energy Ashley gave him. “You told her right? That there's more reasons to stop forcing me to marry Veronica” he asked with his gaze on Thomas. “Yes I did…” Thomas said. “Great. Throughout the night,Ruby cuddled Damian like a baby without asking him questions. He came to her place to find peace and she was going to let him enjoy the peace. She told herself that all her questions could wait till the next day. The next morning, as she prepared for work, Damian remained in bed and kept sleeping, his exhaustion evident in his face. There were a lot of calls from Thomas when Ruby picked up her phone so she guessed it was because of Damian. Damian was lying on his back with one of his hands wrapped around Ruby and her head placed on her chest. Ruby blushed when she realised she was naked and so was Damian. Last night after they had made love to each other, she wanted to put on her pyjamas,but Damian stopped her and told her to just sleep. Ruby's phone rang, disrupting their moment of comfort. The screen flashed Thomas' name,so she picked it up and answered.“Hello?” She answered and Damian looked at her wondering who she was speaking with.“Hello Miss Ruby,have you found Mr Stevenson?” Thomas' voice came through the phone. The next morning, Damian had woken up before Ruby. He made her some pancakes and scrambled eggs. He took his bath,got dressed and left the house with his luggage after leaving a note for her. When Ruby woke up and saw Damian was gone,she was overwhelmed with sadness. Not like she was never going to see him again at work,but she just wished he could remain with her.
