Damian slept in his study because it was the only place in the house that Veronica couldn't enter without his authorization. He woke up, stretched, and groaned. He knew Veronica would be mad at him for not coming back to the bedroom after leaving the way he did, giving the excuse of work. So, he went to apologise, but she was gone. His touch sent shivers down her spine and she felt butterflies in her tummy. It has been a long time since she felt his touch on her skin so it made her feel hot. Mathew's face was red with rage as he stormed into his office, his calm facade shattered. He unleashed his fury, by throwing everything in his sight. Damian's eyes widened in confusion as he witnessed the intimate scene before him. His mind raced with questions. Why was Veronica, his supposed girlfriend, embracing his enemy, Nathan? What was the nature of their relationship that allowed such a display of affection?
