Chapter 148

The door creaked open as Marcel stepped out of it in his sleep wear. A lock of his hair fell over his eyes and he pushed it back before making his way towards the kitchen.

The house was still awfully silent, a clue that everyone was still asleep. He scrubbed his face with the back of his hands.

On entering the kitchen, he hears soft footfalls behind him. He turned around and his eyes met with Dominic's. Their gaze held for a few seconds, before Marcel cleared his throat before looking away. It was obvious Dominic was still angry at him.

Dominic brushed past his brother, as he grabbed the kettle pouring a cup of water into it before placing it on the cooker, waiting for it to boil.

A muscle ticked in his jaw. Marcel would have been out of his house if it was left to him. But somehow, Selena had managed to convince him to let his brother stay and yeah, just so she could be happy he conceded.

After a few minutes of long stretched and awkward silence between both brothers, Marcel cleared
