"David!!! David!!". Bella shouted as David fell from the fire escape, Lucian looked down and 

saw that David had fallen off. 

He quickly suggested that they should reach the top of the balcony first because it seems that 

the ladder looks weak, hence may come apart. 

David on the other hand, immediately he fell on the car using his back to Land, he wasted no 

time in getting up. David saw that the car was surrounded by the infected, apart from the 

side of the car facing the alley wall because of the narrow space between the wall and the 

car. 

He saw that standing on the car wasn't safe as it was exposed. And some of the infected 

were trying to grab his legs, while some were trying to make their way on top of the car. 

His only option was squeezing through the narrow space, between the car and the alley wall, 

and staying under the car, which would give him a better chance at fighting off the infected. 

So he quickly forced himself down the space, and found a way to slide under the car, this 

way he has a better chance of fending for himself, at least for a period of time before he becomes tired and is 

completely overrun. 

Lucian, Jacob and Bella reached the roof of the balcony and watched how David avoided the 

infected and was trapped under the car. 

They started figuring out a way to help David out. Bella kept on crying and saying repeatedly 

"It's my fault, it's all my fault".

Lucian went and consoled her and told her "Even though it is your fault or not, that is not 

going to help David now is it, we have to come up with a plan. He's down there and needs our 

help…. So put yourself together ok?". Bella nodded and cleaned the tears off her eyes. 

Jacob suggested they go back down to help David out, but Lucian told Jacob it wasn't a 

good idea. 

Then Lucian had a theory. He went to Jacob and Bella and told them they have to draw the 

infected away from the car David was trapped in. So as to give him an opportunity to flee, 

and he knows just how to do that. 

He said "The only reason the weird Lady attacked Bella, was when Bella was screaming out 

for help to her, before that she was just standing still, and when she attacked Bella, Bella 

screamed which attracted others to us". Jacob then added "You mean to say that they are

attracted to sounds?". Lucian nodded and replied "We have to create a sound to draw these 

things away from David". 

Jacob then answered "But how?".. 

They looked around and Bella asked. "Can the alarm from the cars draw them away?". 

Jacob and Lucian both nodded and replied "Perfect". 

They looked around and found some cars parked at the alley, which can only be gotten to by 

making a jump to another balcony.

Without wasting time, Lucian ran and made a dive to the next balcony, bruising part of his 

body. He picked up some bricks and quickly started dropping them on the cars. 

The first three cars he dropped the brick on had no alarm, he was about to give up hope when he 

dropped the last brick on the fourth car, and the alarm turned on.

Most of the infected rushed to where the alarm sound was coming from, giving David an opportunity 

to slide out from under the car. And making a run for the fire escape opposite to that, Jacob 

and Bella are on. 

Lucian, seeing that David had fled to safety, gave out a sigh of relief, sat on the floor as he cleaned the sweat off his face and

tried to force back the tears from his eyes. 

David made his way to the top of the balcony, breathing heavily, sweating and trembling. 

Jacob pointed at the fence that connected the two balconies together [The dead end]. And 

told David to walk on the fence and come to the balcony were they are. 

David did so and they gave him a big hug, Bella said to him "I thought I lost you" as tears 

rolled down her eyes. 

David replied "Me too" as tears filled his eyes which rolled down his cheek.
