“At the moment, I don't know. But I'm sure I will figure it out, just give me some time. We need to go back to the twins, Ariella would be screaming and hitting the door at this point. We have been gone for so long,” Alex whispered, freeing himself from Luz's grasp.

Luz nodded and followed him, watching as he locked the door, using multiple security systems.

“Daddy, where are you?”

The sound of Ariella's dramatic knocks and shouts welcomed them the moment they returned to the study.

“I knew it!” Alex muttered under his breath, quickly dashing to the door.

A sweating and breathless Ariella greeted him before the door, making him sweep her up in his arms.

“Why did you lock us out?” Ariella asked, feeling aggrieved.

“I'm sorry dear, I thought you both will be busy playing video games,” Alex whispered, his eyes darting to the game set where Ariel and Aridan were hitting it out with maximum concentration.
