A REAL BOSS

Alex chuckled, not feeling really surprised that the man detected his presence. The wicked wizard masquerading under the monk's kayak was obviously a force to be reckoned with. To be able to commit such atrocities with so much smoothness required much more than ruthlessness; it required strength and a sly spirit acquired through ages of warfare.

He appeared before the man wearing his mask. He was no longer dressed like the corporate shark he depicted less than an hour ago. No, he had shed the Alexander Winthrop identity and assumed that of Lord Dracula to stalk the monster. He was girded in a totally black attire, and his outer suit jacket had been removed, replaced by a leather one. Black gloves adorned his hands, and his signature black mask was on his face.

“Coming over here to follow me like this, you must have lots of guts, young man.” He said, looking at Alex.
