BARELY HOLDING ON

Aridan shook his head and ignored the angry Luz, motioning to Raz to help him move Alex. He quickly grabbed a hold of Alex's other arm to move him when he groaned and opened his eyes.

“Stop. I will go myself.” Alex muttered as he regained consciousness. He disappeared from the spot and Aridan quickly dashed towards the staircase, rushing towards his room. The others followed behind, running after him.

Aridan entered Alex's room to see him groaning as he knelt on the floor beside his bed. He forced himself up and sat on the bed. Aridan blinked back tears and knelt before him to help him unbutton his shirt. Alex had already removed his outer leather jacket, leaving just his shirt.

“Why are you crying? You're not the one hurt. Besides, I'm alive and have no plans of dying soon. Don't cry, I won't go anywhere. I still need to see the daughter in-law you will bring home.” Alex whispered, wiping his face.

“Is this even the time for jokes?” Aridan whispered, unbuttoning the last crystal butt
