Alex sighed and weighed the options before him.

“During the course of the investigation, are you confident that you didn't leave a trace? Or did they know that their hideout had been bursted?”

“I'm not sure. However, one of the guards looked really suspicious as he walked around the area where we hid.” Ikaris muttered, looking at the floor.

“This can only mean that their guard is high right now, I need to go alone. I can't leave it till tomorrow either, they might finish off the kidnapped victims if they suspect that we will prepare a raid against them. What's the time on your computer screen?” Alex asked, turning to Aridan.

“It's fifteen minutes past three a.m.” Aridan announced.

“Get the reconnaissance and other preparations ready. I will hit in immediately. Hopefully, I will return before six.” Alex whispered and turned around, quickly rushing to his room to get himself ready for the task ahead.
