Luz smiled wryly and looked up at her.

“My mother is dead, If that makes you feel better,’’ Luz whispered with a sad smile, before turning around to leave.

His slow steps along the spiral staircase left a forlorn air around him, his sadness permeating the environment because of his cold aura that was seeping out.

Ariel immediately turned, facing Ariella in anger.

“Have you seen what you have done? He's probably going up to cry! What's wrong with you? You are always being dramatic and jealous for no reason. Are you happy now that you have made him sad? He merely wanted to be friends, not you have probably ruined every chance of that ever happening,” Ariel said, staring down at his sister.
