TRYING TO GAIN ADVANTAGE

Alex walked into the staff room attached to the kitchen. Most of the workers were in there, especially the helpers. The ones still moving around in their bid to control and regulate the panicking clients were all Alex's subordinates and young army trainees. The staff that were officially hired were scared out of their minds, while each of the men kept calm, including the teenagers among them. They were used to the sounds of gun shots and missiles. Bombs exploding around them were no biggie, after all, they had seen worse. Besides, they knew that their boss made adequate preparations during the construction of Food Haven. Some were even yawning due to boredom, not bothered at all. Their calmness acted like balms to the customers, and the hired hands soon calmed down the moment they realized that their lives were safe.

“Boss, you're here.” Mac greeted, rushing towards Alex.

“How is the gun shot victim? Is he still alive?” Alex asked, walking deeper torwards the section housing the staf
