I stepped tremblingly out into the hallway and made my way toward the precinct's front door.I was reluctant to depart.I figured that as soon as I walked out the front door, there would be alarms going off and I would be taken into custody as a suspect trying to evade questioning.But nothing took place.I went out into the world without incident.I dashed down the sidewalk in a flash, aiming for the path into the woods that housed my house.I was certain that no one would ever inquire about Eden's death again.I was ashamed of myself.I could have reported Valerian to the police.Since then, what would that have done to Aleksei's treatments? As he observed his fellow vampire go up in flames, the vampire who was holding me down growled in my face.I shook as the rogue vampire's scream disintegrated with his body.I begged myself to persevere and complete this.I was prepared to kill them all because they tampered with the wrong person, but I needed to get to Balrus first.I had to get rid of this monster or else.As I imagined flames erupting within the rogue vampire's chest, I closed my eyes.I heard him whimper as the image became more vivid and clearer."Why are you harming me?It explodes!As he let go of my hold and stood up, the rogue vampire screamed.A ball of fire erupted in my palm as I swiftly jumped to my feet.I looked intently at my hands.My flesh was unmoved as they burned with a constant magical flame.As he tried to locate the source of the pain, the vampire began to gnaw at his chest, ripping his shirt to shreds.The vampire was engulfed in flame as he screamed after I threw the flame ball as hard as I could at him.I
