Preparation

Derek turned over and looked at who it was, his already paled face lost the remaining color it had. He looked away and continued his sight seeing from his verandah. The view wasn’t too amazing, but it was worth it at this moment.

“I tried calling, your phones are down; why’d you do that?” Amelia broke the silence a few seconds after she entered.

She was wearing a crop top and a pair of blue Jean and sneakers, a typical outfit.

“You don’t belong here anymore, Amelia; not until you remove that thing inside of you,” Derek's voice sounded solemn but serious, he sipped his whiskey and didn’t look back at Amelia.

Amelia felt the sudden sharp pain in her heart when she heard the statement Derek made, she was completely devastated and this seemed to be Derek’s final decision.

“At least, hear me out first, what…. Why are you doing this?” Amelia’s voice went from confident to a small sobbing tone in an instant.
