"Yes mother!"

A young boy of about six years runs into her outstretched arms as she held him in a tight embrace.

"My baby boy."

She kisses his forehead softy before ruffling his hair, his hair glowing in the process.

His little giggles brightening her smile, she quickly picks him up from the ground.

"Do you know that Mommy loves you ?"

"Yes." His childish voice and closed fist accentuating his elated response.

"And..." she egged him on.

"I love Mommy too."

"That's my boy.." she hugged him tightly, her lips pressed close to his ears.

"Never forget that."

"Ahhh!"

Ten years old Maliki jumps out of the bed screaming, his feet landing heavily on the wooden floor, as the floor board creaked loudly.

"Where am I ?" He asked himself as he tried to recollect where he was before losing consciousness.

"Mother."
