Chapter 157: Provoked  

Mrs. Wilson and Lucy seethed with anger as Jayson spoke to them condescendingly and insulted the Wilson family. The unexpected behaviour left them trembling with rage.

"Jayson, don't let your wealth make you arrogant. Remember, you were once a dog of the Wilson family, and when we told you to bark, you barked. Being rich doesn't give you the right to look down on us," Mrs. Wilson retorted, her face flushed with anger.

But Jayson smirked and replied, "Fifty-three seconds gone."

Mrs. Wilson and Lucy were taken aback by Jayson's response. Lucy glared at him and spoke icily, "Jayson, always remember this: no matter how wealthy you become, you will always be the Wilson family's dog."

"A minute gone, four minutes counting," Jayson retorted, his smile widening.

His words left Lucy and Mrs. Wilson flustered. They hadn't expected Jayson to mockingly count the minutes while they were engaged in their heated exchange.
