As the moment to settle the bill arrived, the waitress, who had earlier presented the costly wine, reappeared, informing them, "My boss insists that everything ordered in this exclusive hall is on the house for his friend. No need to worry about the payment; it's all taken care of."

Venita, with her characteristically sharp tongue, inquired of the waitress, "Could you kindly inform me who among us all is your boss's friend?"

The waitress, devoid of knowledge, responded, "I'm merely tasked with conveying a message; his arrival is imminent, and perhaps he can provide the details you seek."

With that the waitress left.

Venita chuckled, "Certainly, she can't know that. Her status is quite basic, just like a few others around here. The exclusive privilege of being considered a friend of the hotel's proprietor belongs solely to Howard."
