Following her work shift, Diana had intended to make a beeline for the hospital to check on her daughter before returning home.

Moving to the side, Diana paused for a moment, her fingers hovering over her phone's keypad before she dialed Victor's number. The anticipation built as she awaited his response.

"Hello!" Victor's warm voice resonated on the other end of the line.

With a smile in her voice, Diana inquired, "Hello, how a
