Butcher chased the person in the dark cloak and managed to catch them, but to his great surprise, the cloak vanished into thin air.

Butcher rubbed his eyes and looked around. The cloaked person was nowhere to be seen. “Who was that woman?” He couldn’t help but frown. “I wasn’t really being careless, but she probably cast an illusion when she lifted her finger. If she was a pureblood, I would have known it. She must be bitten by a pureblood, and she’s decently experienced. She knew she wouldn’t be able to beat me, yet she provoked me and then managed to run away.”

He smiled rather angrily.

“I can’t figure out the purpose behind her actions, but I like her guts. If I come across her again, I’ll give her a good fuck.”

He jumped down into an alley and landed next to a beggar who was gorging on a cold, hard pie. The beggar opened his mouth wide, and half-eaten pie fell to the floor.

Butcher flicked his wrist, and the umbrella’s pointy tip pierced through the beggar’s throat and killed him

Butcher was returning to the hospital after a long walk. Along the way, he was evaluating every woman he came across.“Too fat.”“Too skinny.”“Not good-looking enough.”Most of the women didn’t meet his standards, until he stopped by at Rye’s Pizzas. His eyes caught sight of a young woman from whom he caught the smell of drugs. He touched his face, and his appearance changed into that of a young, devilishly handsome man. From a distance, he whispered into her ears, and she walked out of the building, almost as a possessed woman.“It’s much easier to control drug addicts,” he smirked as she walked up to him. “What is your name?”“Jasmine,” she answered without blinking.“Come with me, Jasmine,” he put his hand forward. She locked her arm with his and walked with him. They took ten steps, and a pizza-delivery guy arrived on a bike and stopped right before them. “Where are you going during work hours, Jasmine?” he asked while his helmet was still on.Butcher faintly smiled. The bloody vapors brought Butcher to the ocean. He followed the vapors and swam deep into the waters and reached the ocean bed, where he found a big stone tied to a half-eaten body and half-eaten face. The fish and some crustaceans that had been nibbling on the dead body quickly swam away as Butcher came closer. Butcher’s eyes shed tears, for it was without a doubt, his son. He fell on his son’s body and cried out, leaking bubbles out to the surface. With almost half the body gone, and with the heart missing, he wasn’t sure if Raven could be revived or not. Nevertheless, he brought the body back to the hospital with him in a body bag. He entered the secret basement and conducted a sacrificial ritual of a random kidnapped child with the same blood group, and transplanted the child’s heart and then transferred the child’s blood into Raven’s body systematically through the blood vessels in his neck. The heart started beating slowly. Butcher’s eyes gained light. Raven’s body started

Charles took the check from Caroline and used her money to send fifty million dollars to both Laurel and Sofia’s accounts on the very same night, even though he didn’t want to send so much money to Sofia because he was sure she wouldn’t send the money back and would give all kinds of excuses for it.Laurel called him straight away, which he didn’t expect. “Hey, I just received 50 million dollars from you. Is this a new year gift to me?”“I-I mistakenly sent it to you,” Charles explained.“O-Oh, okay. I’ll send it back to you then,” Laurel said. “Is that all?”“I had a good time at your house. Thank you,” he said.Laurel smiled. “See you soon.” She hung up and then thought, “He mistakenly sent 50 million dollars to my account? Just how much money is he making transactions with every day? I guess they don’t call him SFF Charles for nothing.”Charles, on the other hand, kept rubbing his forehead. “How am I going to make the Bisconsleys attack the Myers family? If I want to take down a wh

Charles’ howl scared the nearby animals in the park and would also have easily intimidated weak vampires. However, the eyes of One and Two glowed red, making it obvious to Charles that they were both the same as him. They were also Blood Drinkers, aka, Sekwings.Forget about hypnotizing them, even intimidating them would be extremely difficult for Charles.“Unstoppable…” they whispered as they brought their claws out and infused them with blood. “You just dug your own grave by coming here.” Both of them leaped toward him and together slashed their claws at him. “Double Blood Claw!”Charles couldn’t move out of their attack line because the wounded girl was right behind him. He infused his own blood into his claws and defended himself from their combined attack.CLANG!The claws clashed in a loud clinking noise, and a bloody hot wave spread upon impact and washed over the trees, making the grass and leaves wither. But that wasn’t all.Charles could no longer hear the heartbeat of the g

In an old graveyard at the outskirts of the city, for six days and nights, Akira taught Charles how to use his skills. It took more than 100 hours of training for Charles to learn to inject the blood energy into the opponent’s body and hurt their inside, though he only managed to injure Akira because she allowed herself to be hit.It was a priceless training that helped him vastly improve his fighting skills as well as get to know more about Akira and her preferences.Akira was an extremely private person. Even though he asked her for personal details many times, she never revealed anything about her when he asked her. She only gave him minute details whenever she wanted to. She was always the one in control of him, not the opposite.Other than being his guide and training partner, she also taught him how to communicate with bats and also to interpret the language of other animals such as birds or cats.“Most vampires perish because of their lack of knowledge.” These were the words sh

He couldn’t trust Sofia’s words. “Are you speaking the truth?”“I may be an actress, but in real life, I only speak the truth,” Sofia backed herself. “But anyway, is there any chance for both of us to end up together?” Her words visibly surprised him. “You know, I’m just asking that’s all. Besides, I have a somewhat serious ongoing relationship.”“Who? Ducksbelly was a prestigious restaurant that only the rich could afford. It generally required one to book a table at least two to three days ahead. However, three VIP tables were always kept available just so they could serve stupidly rich guests who would be willing to waste their money to book one of these VIP tables, even though it cost ten times more than a regular table.Narika had no money with her, so she fully depended on Charles.Luckily, Charles had opened up an online bank account to send money to Laurel and Sofia. Because Laurel had sent the 50 million dollars back, he had that money with him. He paid 10,000 dollars for a VIP table. Made of black teak wood with golden edges, decked with copper plates, it was beautiful to sit at.Narika picked up the tiny, sweet pebbles that looked like river-stones. They were smaller than lizard eggs and came in all colors. She tossed a handful of them and chewed on them like a child. She gave some to Charles and told him to try them. He

“You’re showing attitude to your own elder sister,” Sofia controlled her anger and smiled. “You’ve grown horns, I see. Good. Very good. I’m proud of you.”Her words made Charles let his guard down just a little, but then Sofia suddenly lifted the hot bowl of soup and threw it on Narika’s face. Charles did not expect that whatsoever, which just showed how unpredictable Sofia could be in everything she did. Whether it was choosing clothes or dating men or even using the words in a way to put herself at her advantage, she would act in a way that makes it difficult for others to tell whether she was being genuine or not, and so predicting her next move was just as hard.To Charles’ shock, his body just didn’t react in time. Even if it did, would he be able to cover thirty feet in a second when there were definitely cameras all around, recording everything that was going on? His body froze in his seat. His eyes could only watch the soup fly at Narika’s face in slow motion. But then Narika

The next morning.Victoria woke up and did not receive a bed coffee. She went to the kitchen, only to find a letter there on the fridge.Cassey had written a letter and disappeared. In the letter, she thanked Victoria for her care, and apologized for leaving this way because she knew Victoria wouldn’t let her go otherwise.“The bats must have really scared her,” Victoria couldn’t really blame Cassey, but she was still angry that Cassey left without even telling directly to her face. “If she comes back running after a few months, I won’t take her in.”On the other hand, Gregory, having lost his argument with Victoria the previous night, brought a black magician to chase the bats away. However, they didn’t know this black magician was a fake. But that would probably be not proven because the bats would no longer attack the mansion from here onward.Sofia told her mother to prepare her multiple masks, one of which looked like Cassey, and others that looked like different people, including

Many minutes passed since Sofia and others got stuck in the smelly basement filled with rat poop and what not. Moreover, these rats were the size of cats. From having eaten all kinds of roots and seeds in the garden, they grew very bulky, and they did not fear these four humans. They were more arrogant than the Myers themselves, as if they were the real owners of this place! As everyone waited with bated breaths, about an hour or so later, the music stopped. The sound of bats leaving reached their ears.“Did they leave?” Sofia wondered. She told Cassey to check on it, but Cassey was still feeling her wounds. She refused to go out. They waited a few minutes before coming out. To their relief, the bats were gone, and so did the guitar, but they didn’t care about the guitar.“Our mansion must be cursed,” Victoria looked at Gregory. “Do something.”“What do you want me to do? Bring some black magicians?” he yelled in frustration.“I don’t know! Just make sure they won’t even come near our

In the middle of the night, Sofia was rolling around and slapping her arms every now and then because bugs were biting her. There was no fan or AC in this cottage. All she had was a hand fan, and her arms had grown heavy from waving the fan. Now, she was completely drenched in sweat, and this made it all the more difficult for her to properly sleep. She got up from the couch and shook her dress before walking out of the cottage. She could see the mansion in the distance. The words her mother told her a day ago came to her mind.“After the wedding was stopped, we didn’t care about anything. But your sister went to the catering guys and told them to give the food to the homeless. They went and freely distributed the food throughout the city in our family’s name,” Victoria showed the details in the newspaper. “This is good for us because the public opinion will surely improve after this incident. We’re doing our best to make those videos Carlos showed at the wedding are fake. Even if som

Sofia was too stunned to even talk or blink for that matter. Where is he?”“He’s… standing right before you,” Carlos raised the face mask in his hand. “I’m Carlos. And I’m Charles.”Victoria’s eyes grew wider than the seas. The wine glass in her hand fell.“I’m Carlos Wallce. I’m Charles Wallace,” Carlos added. “I’m the guy that has been treated like a trash, not worth her time, by Sofia no matter how much I tried to please her, and I’m also the guy that she has fallen for because she believed she deserved me when I was a gambler who earns in millions every match.”Sofia still kept stupidly staring in gut-busting shock. Why are you marrying Sofia?”Charles maintained a straight face. “You will know soon.”“What do you mean I’ll know soon?” Laurel frowned.“That’s all I can say. If you leave, I’ll prepare for the wedding,” Charles said.Laurel clenched her fist. “I hate you, Charles. I wish I never met you.” Holding her tears back, she rushed out of the room.Charles pursed his lips and took a deep breath. When he looked at himself in the mirror, he hated whom he was seeing.Meanwhile, in another room, Sofia was looking at herself in the mirror with a bouquet in her hand, she felt so happy. Many years ago, when he was very young, he was alone. Even after these years, that didn’t seem to have changed as he didn’t have anyone that would walk beside him.Charles was aimlessly walking, and he noticed a few men trying to look from an old beggar. They managed to take more than a hundred dollars from the beggar, but they still wanted more, and they began to rip his clothes, trying to see if he was hiding the money elsewhere. The beggar was old and weak, so he couldn’t fight back against the two youngsters.Charles approached from behind and grabbed their necks. They couldn’t move their necks, not even a little.“Give his money back,” Charles uttered, putting a bit more strength into his grip, and the youngsters quickly dropped the money. Charles then let go of them, and they ran away pretty
