Evastar, after losing over five billion dollars, wanted to do something nasty to let all his anger out. He wanted to kill Carlos, but only after he won against him. Otherwise, his pride would forever have dents in it.

“Enjoy your moments while you can, Carlos,” Evastar thought. “Once I figure you out, I’ll drink all of your blood and grow even smarter.”

While it was possible for ‘flesh-eating’ vampires to shapeshift into animals, they still couldn’t transform into the humans they had consumed.

Evastar had tried it plenty of times, but it never worked.

From the casino, Evastar came straight to Thomas’ old villa, where he had kept the women. There were guards stationed outside.

“Nobody had come in the time I was gone, right?” he inquired the guards.

“No, sir.”

“Good.” He tossed a stack of 50 dollar notes on the ground and drove his car inside. The guards hurriedly picked it up. Judging by its weight, there must be at least 500 notes inside, so they brightly smiled and shared it equally

Evastar raised the bottle of blood, but he couldn’t happily drink as he noticed a rather scary image In the mirror of the shelves. It was that of a red-masked man standing right behind him. It was Unstoppable. He recognized the masked man straightaway.Evastar’s instincts screamed to defend himself.Unstoppable swiped his claws at Evastar without warning. A turtle shell formed on Evastar’s back at the last second and blocked his attack. The shell was so durable, Carlos’ claws could only leave scratches.Evastar immediately turned into a humanoid tiger, swiveled and slashed his claws at the opponent’s face.Carlos jumped back and dodged the claws, but the tiger tail extended and caught him and wrapped itself around his waist tightly.(He can stretch his tail?) Carlos didn’t expect that.Evastar pulled Carlos closer. Flames leaked out of his claws and he swiped at Carlos without mercy. “Feline Flame Claw!”Carlos’ chest was torn open, and black blood gushed out.Evastar firmly caught Un

Charles stood outside, feeling hesitant to open the door because he didn’t know what kind of state Laurel and Sofia were in.He honestly didn’t care if they hurt Sofia one way or another, but the same couldn’t be said for Laurel. If anything bad had happened to Laurel, Charles would probably find Evastar and kill him. That was the kind of rage he felt.Using that rage, he opened the door in haste, only to see both the women lying unconscious on the floor. He checked upon them. Their vitals were stable, and they didn’t seem to have suffered any physical injuries. “He must have kidnapped them for money then? Wait…”Just then, he noticed that there were delicate bite marks on the back of both their necks, which was something he had never seen before.“A bite on the back of the neck? What did he do to them?” Charles thought about it, but he couldn’t find an answer right now.His priority currently was to take these two women out of this place and into safety, so he put all his thoughts a

The screams of the women made Charles quickly rush out of the bathroom. “Is everything alright?”“C-Charles?” Both Laurel and Sofia were bewildered to see him.“Y-You were the one that kidnapped us?” Laurel asked in shock. Crazy calculations began to run rampantly in her mind.“What? No!” Charles quickly denied. “I was the one that brought you out of the room where you were kept.”“Y-You saved us?” Laurel and Sofia looked at each other. The last thing they remembered was getting kidnapped and put in the same room. They didn’t remember anything about meeting Evastar and what had happened afterward.“Yeah. I had to fight quite a few guys to get to you two,” Charles explained a story he made up on the spot. Both the women completely believed him, especially because Sofia had personally seen Charles fight, and Laurel had also seen that scene on television.“H-How did you find us?” Sofia couldn’t help but ask. “I had to bribe some people in the shadows. You don’t want to know about it.”“H

After dropping Sofia, Charles drove the Lamborghini at a fine speed. Because of his vampire senses, he was able to hear every sound around him, even those in other streets, so he was able to perfectly drive through traffic without any hiccups.Laurel’s jaw dropped by how spectacularly Charles handled the steering wheel, grazing past the footpaths with ease.Though she was scared at first, her fears soon faded away after seeing his skillful driving.“Please don’t drop me at my home just yet,” she asked Charles.“But… I have work,” Charles reminded her.Laurel grabbed his bicep with both hands and begged cutely, “Please.” She had never requested him for anything like this before, so he felt it refreshing. In fact, no woman other than Narika had requested him for anything before, so he couldn’t just refuse her request.Smiling a little, he slowed the car down and changed the direction.Laurel rose up from her seat, spread her arms and felt the cool evening winds whipping at her body.Cha

Once she learned that it was Charles who had saved Laurel, she was pleasantly surprised.Caroline then quickly told Laurel about the billion-dollar deal she had made with Victoria Myers.“You’re the best, grandma!” Laurel hugged and kissed her. “Now, I don’t have to worry about Sofia bothering me.”“Don’t get too excited just yet,” Caroline warned. “Show a duplicate of this document to Charles, so he’ll see for himself what kind of people Victoria and Gregory Myers are. Then, I’m sure he’ll have a much better opinion of our Bisconsley family.”“Yes.”“Invite him for lunch tomorrow,” Caroline added. “We’ll surprise him with a big party.”Laurel liked what she heard. “I’ll surely call him. Carlos was buying the shares of the Myers Enterprises under different accounts. There was no happiness in his face, not a shred of it. Saving Sofia from danger had brought a gloom in his heart which he tried not to bring up into his face, and it wasn’t easy.He was in the SGNG store’s top floor, sitting inside the single room. He could have easily bought a penthouse in the name of Carlos with the money earned from Evastar, but he didn’t want to waste money on useless things. Now that he had bought a Lamborghini and had a villa as Charles, that was enough for him to show his wealth to anybody and make them believe that he was a rich dude. There was no need to make Carlos rich as well.Nevertheless, he was quite busy and so focused he didn’t even look at his phone for seven seconds after it started ringing, but the moment he looked at the mobile screen, he recognized the number. It was his mother-in-law’s. To be precise, it was his ex mother-in-law now that he had signed the divorce pap

“He what?” Sofia fumed after hearing that Carlos refused to come back to her. “Just because he earned some money, he thinks he can rule the world. I will show that crappy bastard how high the sky is.”“What are you going to do?” Victoria asked. She hadn’t told the fact that Carlos had told them to ‘eat shit.’“Did you find out where he is?”“Yes, I’ve traced his call. He’s at his grocery store.”“He’s still at that shitty grocery store? What a sentimental fool,” Sofia didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “He’s the type who quickly gets attached to people or places and doesn’t like to change things quickly.”“But he hates both of us,” Victoria opined. “He won’t come back even if we go there and ask him politely.”“Yeah, that’s why we’ll send Marlon this time.”Victoria blinked twice. “Huh? And the timing also didn’t feel right for her. She wanted to propose in a better situation and not right after she got saved by him. When Charles came to the estate of Bisconsleys, a crowd of more than three hundred people were waiting for him. The next morning.Victoria woke up and did not receive a bed coffee. She went to the kitchen, only to find a letter there on the fridge.Cassey had written a letter and disappeared. In the letter, she thanked Victoria for her care, and apologized for leaving this way because she knew Victoria wouldn’t let her go otherwise.“The bats must have really scared her,” Victoria couldn’t really blame Cassey, but she was still angry that Cassey left without even telling directly to her face. “If she comes back running after a few months, I won’t take her in.”On the other hand, Gregory, having lost his argument with Victoria the previous night, brought a black magician to chase the bats away. However, they didn’t know this black magician was a fake. But that would probably be not proven because the bats would no longer attack the mansion from here onward.Sofia told her mother to prepare her multiple masks, one of which looked like Cassey, and others that looked like different people, including

Many minutes passed since Sofia and others got stuck in the smelly basement filled with rat poop and what not. Moreover, these rats were the size of cats. From having eaten all kinds of roots and seeds in the garden, they grew very bulky, and they did not fear these four humans. They were more arrogant than the Myers themselves, as if they were the real owners of this place! As everyone waited with bated breaths, about an hour or so later, the music stopped. The sound of bats leaving reached their ears.“Did they leave?” Sofia wondered. She told Cassey to check on it, but Cassey was still feeling her wounds. She refused to go out. They waited a few minutes before coming out. To their relief, the bats were gone, and so did the guitar, but they didn’t care about the guitar.“Our mansion must be cursed,” Victoria looked at Gregory. “Do something.”“What do you want me to do? Bring some black magicians?” he yelled in frustration.“I don’t know! Just make sure they won’t even come near our

Now, she was completely drenched in sweat, and this made it all the more difficult for her to properly sleep. She got up from the couch and shook her dress before walking out of the cottage. She could see the mansion in the distance. The words her mother told her a day ago came to her mind.“After the wedding was stopped, we didn’t care about anything. But your sister went to the catering guys and told them to give the food to the homeless. They went and freely distributed the food throughout the city in our family’s name,” Victoria showed the details in the newspaper. “This is good for us because the public opinion will surely improve after this incident.
