Laurel had invited Charles for lunch, and she had prepared a grand surprise party, which he didn’t know of.

At the same time, Sofia had also invited him for dinner, and she had prepared a much simpler surprise party.

Caroline had told Laurel to propose to Charles during this party, but she felt like it was still a bit too soon. And the timing also didn’t feel right for her. She wanted to propose in a better situation and not right after she got saved by him.

When Charles came to the estate of Bisconsleys, a crowd of more than three hundred people were waiting for him. These people were all closely related to the Bisconsley family. And they all welcomed and thanked him for his efforts. Charles frankly had never received so many bouquets in his life, and it was a bit overwhelming, in a good way.

Laurel didn’t give him a bouquet like the others. When he met her, he said ‘hi’ and tried to give her a hand shake, but she pushed the hand away and gave him a hug. Almost everybody clapped hard

Sofia and Victoria went together to find the perfect drug to make Charles pass out during dinner. However, without Victoria knowing, Sofia brought an extra powerful aphrodisiac and kept it safely hidden in her bra. While Victoria wanted Charles to just wake up in Sofia’s bed the next morning, Sofia had bigger plans. She had been craving Charles recently, so she didn’t want to miss this chance, which was why she was trying to use every opportunity she got.Gregory, on the other hand, came to the Bisconsley’s estate to talk with Caroline and cancel the document that Victoria and Caroline had recently agreed upon.Caroline naturally rejected all the offers Gregory proposed, which made him quite angry, but what could he do to someone who was much more powerful than him? Still, he threatened her and left.“Everyone in this Myers family thinks they can do whatever they want and can get away with it,” Caroline hissed. “How can Charles spend with trash like them? I’ve been trying to know his

Two, the second ranker of the slaughter squad, was dressed to look like a man, so it was natural for Charles to feel weird when she had asked him to take his shirt off, but she had already put a spell on him, so he didn’t know what to do. “I said, take your shirt off,” Two said. “I want to see if you have abs or not. I want to feel them.” “But abs are meant to be seen by my partner, not some stranger,” replied Charles. Straight away, Two realized that something wasn’t right. (My spell didn’t work on him?) Her eyes glowed red. “You are going to listen to everything I say from now on,” she said because a spell added with words had greater power since words carried power of their own. “She wants to fuck you,” Fang who had been dormant all this while suddenly started conversing with Charles. “What are you waiting for, you coward? Take your shirt off and let her feel your abs.” “Shut up,” Charles sent a simple and pride-hurting message to Fang, but to his bad luck, he ended up saying t

Charles charged her and unleashed his fists.“Dragon Dodging the Rain,” Two moved her body in a way that made it seem like she didn’t have any bones. Even her spine seemed as if it could bend and curve like a snake.Charles couldn’t land a punch on her. Still, he cornered her to a wall and forced her to block his attacks. Even though she was just blocking, he felt great pressure on his wrists.“Dragon Swimming the Storm,” Two closed in through his flurry of punches and struck his face repeatedly with both of her fists.Charles jumped back, but the damage was already done to the mask. A layer of it was coming off.“Well, well…” Two looked visibly surprised. “To think Charles is but a fake identity. I wonder who’s hiding behind the mask.”Charles’ heart started beating fast. He swiveled, turned into a bat and flew out of the building.“Dragon Chasing the Sun!” Two used bursts of blood energy through her feet to attain her top speed and managed to grab one of Charles’ wings and pulled hi

Fighting with Two of the Slaughter Squad had consumed a lot more energy than Charles thought. Even after drinking a blood packet, he wasn’t satisfied at all. He felt like he could drink ten more. He was so thirsty and hungry and mad.But he had made a promise to himself that he would never drink more than a packet of blood, and so he had to wrestle with himself to stick to the one and only principle that made him feel better compared to other vampires. Moreover, he had to attend the dinner at the Myers mansion. He didn’t want to miss this one because he really wanted to hear what kind of explanation Victoria Myers would give, and no matter what bullshit of an excuse she might have come up with, he was planning to roast her ego.So, he was resting right now to appear fresh and relaxed during the dinner. At the same time, in the Bones hospital.Butcher was talking with Denise who was the head of medicine and pharmaceuticals worldwide. Even though she was over fifty years old, she didn’t

Expecting a grand party, Charles reached the Myers mansion, but he didn’t see any other vehicles outside. There were no noises of people talking, either. He parked the car outside and entered through the gate as the guard showed no objection.Charles never wanted to enter this mansion if possible, but he was still being forced to do so because of the circumstances.“She said there will be a dinner party, but why isn’t there anyone else? Don’t tell me, I was the only person she called?”He couldn’t have asked for better as there were a lot of things he wanted to walk about. He quickly entered the building.Cassey, the maid, welcomed him and made him sit at the dining table lit up with candle light. It was quite a beautiful setting, romantic, to say the least.Cassey soon excused herself.Charles waited. Every second felt like a minute. Before long, Sofia came climbing down the stairs, in a sparkling blue dress. She probably never looked so gorgeous before. Her womanly swaying skipped h

Sofia held Charle’s hands, and Cassey held his legs as they brought him over to Sofia’s room. After they put him down on the bed, Cassey was gasping. “He’s much heavier than he looks. I thought my shoulders would break.” She looked at Sofia who wasn’t gasping all that much. (Even though I work a lot more than her every day, why isn’t she exhausted? I’m sure she also bore a significant amount of his body weight.)“What are you still standing here for?” Sofia coldly looked at Cassey.“Ah, I’m sorry,” Cassey hurriedly left the room.Victoria was right outside the room, leaning against the wall, with her arms folded across her chest. “Go to the cottage and tell Narika that Charles came here for a dinner party, and that he ended up entering Sofia’s room together with her. You know how to tell the message so that she’ll feel miserable, right?”“Leave it to me, ma’am,” Cassey assured and quickly strode away. [This chapter contains vivid descriptions of sex and sexual organs.Reader discretion is advised.]Fang, a beast that had been in invisible chains for a long time, was waiting for an opportunity to assert himself, and Charles presented that very opportunity by giving himself into the stimulation that Sofia kept giving him.The moment Charles’ penis hardened and throbbed with strange delight in response to Sofia’s intimate actions, Fang grinned and took over Charles’ body without a shred of hesitation. He opened his eyes and looked at Sofia, startling, and freezing her expression for a second. She didn’t know how to react. She didn’t think her cheeky actions would wake Charles up. And he kept staring at her without blinking, so she didn’t know how to explain herself. She wasn’t prepared for something like this.Being a smart and bold woman that Sofia was, she moved closer and kissed his lips.Fang, who was thinking to dominate her, suddenly found himself a bit paralyzed because she jus

The next morning.Sofia awoke in the tendrils of a nectarean dream, with vague visions of a strong, sensual man fulfilling all his desires on her in one night. And the stirring scent was still felt in the covers, making her nestle under covers.Eventually, as the sweet feeling settled down, she sat up with a sleepy smile going on her face. Her smile soon settled, and she put on a normal but slightly confused expression.First of all, she was wearing black clothes now, which she didn’t remember putting on.Secondly, why wasn’t Charles sleeping on the bed next to her? Why was she alone? Where did he go?Thirdly, why was she feeling super sore all over her body? She tried to get off her bed, but she was finding it difficult.Suddenly, a stinging pain in the neck made her cringe. She touched her neck instinctively. She felt something, as if someone had bitten her on the neck. Her eyes widened quickly.“Don’t tell me… I did it with Charles last night? Did he… do this?” She tried so hard to

  • EPILOGUE

The next morning.Victoria woke up and did not receive a bed coffee. She went to the kitchen, only to find a letter there on the fridge.Cassey had written a letter and disappeared. In the letter, she thanked Victoria for her care, and apologized for leaving this way because she knew Victoria wouldn’t let her go otherwise.“The bats must have really scared her,” Victoria couldn’t really blame Cassey, but she was still angry that Cassey left without even telling directly to her face. “If she comes back running after a few months, I won’t take her in.”On the other hand, Gregory, having lost his argument with Victoria the previous night, brought a black magician to chase the bats away. However, they didn’t know this black magician was a fake. But that would probably be not proven because the bats would no longer attack the mansion from here onward.Sofia told her mother to prepare her multiple masks, one of which looked like Cassey, and others that looked like different people, including

Many minutes passed since Sofia and others got stuck in the smelly basement filled with rat poop and what not. Moreover, these rats were the size of cats. From having eaten all kinds of roots and seeds in the garden, they grew very bulky, and they did not fear these four humans. They were more arrogant than the Myers themselves, as if they were the real owners of this place! As everyone waited with bated breaths, about an hour or so later, the music stopped. The sound of bats leaving reached their ears.“Did they leave?” Sofia wondered. She told Cassey to check on it, but Cassey was still feeling her wounds. She refused to go out. They waited a few minutes before coming out. To their relief, the bats were gone, and so did the guitar, but they didn’t care about the guitar.“Our mansion must be cursed,” Victoria looked at Gregory. “Do something.”“What do you want me to do? Bring some black magicians?” he yelled in frustration.“I don’t know! Just make sure they won’t even come near our

In the middle of the night, Sofia was rolling around and slapping her arms every now and then because bugs were biting her. There was no fan or AC in this cottage. All she had was a hand fan, and her arms had grown heavy from waving the fan. Now, she was completely drenched in sweat, and this made it all the more difficult for her to properly sleep. She got up from the couch and shook her dress before walking out of the cottage. She could see the mansion in the distance. The words her mother told her a day ago came to her mind.“After the wedding was stopped, we didn’t care about anything. But your sister went to the catering guys and told them to give the food to the homeless. They went and freely distributed the food throughout the city in our family’s name,” Victoria showed the details in the newspaper. “This is good for us because the public opinion will surely improve after this incident. We’re doing our best to make those videos Carlos showed at the wedding are fake. Even if som

Sofia was too stunned to even talk or blink for that matter. Where is he?”“He’s… standing right before you,” Carlos raised the face mask in his hand. “I’m Carlos. And I’m Charles.”Victoria’s eyes grew wider than the seas. The wine glass in her hand fell.“I’m Carlos Wallce.
