Victoria came rushing to Gregory’s room and knocked on his door until he opened it. She told him about the accident and looked restless. He told her to relax and then made some calls to erase the video footage or any evidence.

Even after Gregory told her everything will be alright, she still couldn’t be at ease. “I shouldn’t have gone out at night. It looked like some figure was following me. I got scared. I couldn’t take my foot off the pedal until I got home.”

“What figure are you talking about?”

“I don’t know. It was blurry, but would you believe me if I told you the beating of its wings sounded like that of a bat?” she looked at him.

Gregory raised his brows. “So, you’re telling me you got scared by a bat.”

“No. It’s not a bat. It’s something else,” Victoria stressed her words. “And I wasn’t hallucinating. It felt like this creature had some kind of issue with me.”

“You’re thinking too much,” Gregory yawned. “Go to your room and sleep.”

“I-I’ll sleep here for tonight.”
