CHAPTER 241

As Charles applied ointment on her abdomen, Sofia grinned, eyes glinting. “How does it feel?”

“Feel what?” Charles innocently asked.

“The wounds, I mean,” Sofia said, trying to kiss him with her breath. “Do you think they’ll go away with the ointment? I heard that people used to lick other’s wounds before ointments were invented. And that saliva used to do the trick even for some deep scratches.”

Charles maintained his poker face with great effort. Did she really just tell him to try and lick her wounds in her own twisted manner?

Laughter burst from her lips, catching his gaze in a sweet smile. Normally, butterflies would fill any man’s chest if a woman even a tenth as beautiful as Sofia were to smile like that, but Charles felt sour juices breaking through his intestines.

Sofia felt like she was in the middle of a wonderful flower garden right now. If her weight was to be calculated, she would probably only weigh a few flowers! Charles, however, felt the exact opposite way.
