CHAPTER 4 (DISARRAY)

Danger was setting in. He had to act fast. It was clear that Dragon General purposely came for him, to end his rule, to end him.

It was not as if he could not handle that soldier. He had dealt with people stronger, powerful and energetic than he is.

Everyone was afraid of him, everyone cowered when it came to him, he had every authority and power he needed to proceed in destroying Dragon General ; but his father.

His problem at the moment was his father. His father had always supported him when it came to his evil deeds.

In fact, he was his only motivation. When it came to killing and torture, his father had destroyed and murdered many people than he, Frederic had even done.

His father had a heart of ice and showed no mercy to anyone who crossed his path.

Even in his old age now, he had accomplices who continued doing his dirty works for him. He was a Mafia, and Mafias never fold.

So for his father to actually tell him to stop dealing with a man who disgraced his entire dignity and lineage within just a couple of minutes was something new to him.

The first time his father told him to stop hunting down the soldier, his voice had been shaky and that was the first time he had ever heard him sound like that.

Knowing his father, he would have been the first person to organize his boys to end him or better still, he would have finished him off himself even before he, Frederic made his mind to.

Whoever this Dragon General was, that was making his father lie so low, he would prove to him that he, Frederic of the Great Five Family was far above that.

He had taken over from his father and he was going to do just what his father had always done : kill and destroy.

So he was going behind his father’s back to deal with Dragon General and he could care less what his father will do, because after all, he was going to finish him for good.

At the moment he had lost his authority on Claribel’s family. In as much as he kept threatening to bring him back their daughter, they had nothing to say.

Besides they both knew Claribel was with Dragon General and Frederic’s persistent torture of them would result to nothing.

He felt he was rather disgracing himself and the only way to get back his self esteem was to kill Dragon General and to bring Claribel back for good.

He sighed and banged his fist hard on the table. This has surprisingly been one of his toughest missions ever, though it shouldn’t have been.

“Poison!” he called out. “Poison!” he shouted again.

“Boss” an ugly man with a fierce nature appeared in his office. He had a scar across his face and one of his eyes was patched. He wore a heavy black suit and a smoke scented cologne to compliment.

“How many times do you want me to call you before you appear, you brat!” Frederic scowled and Poison said nothing and kept his head low.

After a few minutes, Frederic asked “How far with the investigations?”

“We are still on it Sir. Information reaching us is that he resides at a villa near an isolated building at Osu.

About three (3) days ago, he visited Claribel’s family with the girl herself.

She looked all beautiful and could walk on her two feet now; but unfortunately the visit did not end well since Claribel’s mother was the only person who welcomed her as usual.

The rest of the family was insulting and scolding her”. Poison ended with a smirk on his face. He knew he had done very well and for once his boss will acknowledge him.

He suffered and paid very well for what he was able to accumulate.

So he was beyond surprised when he heard a faint “Is that all?” from his boss. He slowly and shakily replied “Yes Sir”.

Frederic sat down on the chair by his desk, rested his head on the table and sighed heavily. His boss was stressed,

Poison thought at he studied the bags under his eyes when he raised his head from the desk. He hasn’t been sleeping.

After sometime, Frederic finally spoke “After the amount of time I gave you, the only thing you could tell me is some random visit he made to that shitty house and how that daughter of a bitch can walk now?” he lashed out angrily.

Frederic was a bitter and confused man, Poison could read it all over his face; he decided to do the bare minimum and calm him down.

“We have a lead Sir. We can take him down any minute we get ready to” he said.

“Then what are you waiting for?” his boss asked angrily.

“We need a plan” Poison replied, “a plan that is going to work once and for all” he continued, “because if Plan A fails, Plan B will be him taking us down unaware and off guard”.

From his investigations, Poison had realised that Alfie was a strong and intelligent man, and anyone rooting for hos downfall needed both brains and brawns to do so,

but his boss wasn’t having it. “Call the boys, you’re raiding his house tonight” he said.

“But boss we are supposed to…..”

“I said tonight! Finish him off for good” he cut him off.

Poison had no choice but to surrender and face Dragon General without a well-structured plan and enough information ; but he was smarter than this.

He could work out something really fast and they could take him down easily. This was not something he hadn’t done before.

“Okay boss” he bowed and left as Frederic started making some calls. Working for Frederic has been like hell; the amount of pressure given to him and the risk involved.

If it wasn’t for the fact that he was on drugs, it would have been difficult for him to ever do any work Frederic instructed him to.

He didn’t want to even think about the things he had done in the name of working for Frederic these past years,

but he paid well and that was the only thing that mattered to him: putting his life on the line and receiving huge amounts of money in the name of his salary.

He sighed and walked down the hallway into his room. He wondered whether he could just go to the villa himself and finish the work, but Alfie was not stupid.

He would be dead the moment he went alone. So he summoned the other guards and they all came to assemble at his room.

He started “We all know the problem at hand. We’ve tried our best possible to get enough information about the Dragon General and although we don’t have a strong standing plan, it is high time we tracked him down for good.

We are seven(7) in number and we’ve attacked people like him before. We are going to Dragon General’s villa tonight to finish him once and for all” he finished.

Everywhere was silent. The guards just stared at each other’s faces with shock. Zayn, one of them, broke the silence.

“You’ve already stated that we don’t have a strong standing plan and yet you’re sending us to go kill a man who beat up almost five(5) guards at a go right in front of us at his own house? That is insane, Poison.

Did you even think about what you’re saying and it’s consequences?” he blasted.

For strength, Zayn was stronger than Poison and he was the only one who could object his decisions despite the fact that he was the leader of the guards.

There was no way he would go to the Dragon General’s villa without a well formulated plan.

“Do you know where the pressure is coming from? Frederic will not hesitate to kill us all one by one if we do not go by his orders.

There is more to Dragon General than what we see, and whatever that is, is driving him crazy. So yes, we are killing him tonight; whether anyone likes it or yes”.

Poison replied angrily. Zayn remained quiet and so did everyone. The ball was now in their court and they could either take or they had no other option.

They all sat down under Poison’s command, gathered ideas and started getting ready for the execution of the plan.

From Poison, someone from the inside was giving him information about Alfie and he has learnt that if they can beat up the guards at the main gate of the villa, they could extract the keys to the CCTV room and if they got fortunate and meet no other guard there,

they would disconnect the CCTV whiles some of them will be climbing the building to Alfie’s room via a rope which will be provided for them. Whoever ends up in the shoots him ir better still ends his life in any other way.

Dragon General was the focus at the moment, Claribel could wait for now. Alfie needed to be killed tonight.

Mr. Ninson had grown heavy bags under his eyes and had become restless ever since Alfie showed up a week ago.

He knew he would come back but he hadn’t anticipated it so soon. Nevertheless, he thought he had even died a long time ago or better still, he has been left vulnerable somewhere far away.

The last thing he ever thought was Alfie coming back, ans coming back powerful. He was staring straight at the window when his wife entered carrying a tray of grapes.

She has been on his nerves these past few days and it has been taking everything in him not to beat her up till she becomes bloody, but she was his wife and he loved her even when he didn’t show it.

“What are you going to do about him now?” she questioned as placed the tray down on the desk and as Ninson’s temper grew the most.

Why can’t she just mind her own business? “It’s obvious he’s going to find out soon and his hatred for this family is just going to increase the most.

You have to think fast” she continued oblivious of the fact that she was greatly irritating her husband.

Ninson couldn’t hold it any longer. “Abigail, get the hell out!” he snapped.

“You always let your temper have advantage over you. I was just helping but looks like you don’t need it.

Whatever the hell you will do Alex” Abigail also replied harshly and banger the door behind her. This has always been her marriage, she doesn’t even remember the last time she smiled.

She walked past David who was also entering Mr Ninson’soffice. He looked at her as she pushed him away.

He sighed, closed the door and sat on a chair beside Mr. Ninson’s desk “Fighting again?” he questioned.

“Shut up, this isn’t something new to you. I have a more important and pressing reason why I called you” Mr. Ninson said.

“Flow, Boss” David said.

Mr. Ninson sighed and continued “Few years ago, I instructed you to set fire on a certain mansion at Osu and kill every living being you set your eyes on, even their dog.

“Yeah Sir, you mean your brother’s….” David could not finish his sentence when his boss snarled “Let me finish David!” he was used to this shouting and it triggered nothing in him.

So Mr. Ninson continued “You did a very great job David. Everything went according to plan. Everyone in the building was killed.

The building was set destroyed by the fire just as I wanted, but one thing went wrong and after years, this thing bas come to hunt us down and destroy us for good.

David, are you sure you killed everyone in the building”? Mr. Ninson lowered and looked directly into David’s eyes. He was shaken a bit but recovered rapidly.

“Yes Boss” he replied.

“Are you sure? Not even an excuse of a small boy?” he asked again.

David was sure of himself “No boss., the job was clean. No scratches”.

Mr. Ninson was persistent “David are you sure?” his voice was low now as he asked and his eyes were about to glow red like it did when he wanted to explode.

Just that, David recalled. He remembered how he stabbed a certain boy and handed him over to one of his boys to finish him.

In the distance he could see the boy limping and running from the building, but the flames were strong and there was no way he could survive the thick forest, but Claribel. Yes, he could remember clearly now.

“Yes”, Mr. Ninson interrupted him. “I can see from your face that everything is adding up together in your mind. David, Dragon General is back and he’s about to destroy us for good”.
