Chapter 71: When Fire Burns It Hurts

Pain was shocked at his discovery. “I can’t believe that Malid was supposed to marry Maggie. Tony needs to hear this.” As he picked up the phone to call me but remembered I told him I will be busy for a while. He then continued to clip the extra information on the board.

As I walked out of the company, my instinct told me to check the van. I waited outside for those where driving the truck to leave. They parked it and left. I walked towards the truck and looked through the truck to see if I could find anything.

I then began to smell a strong smell in a particular truck. It smelled very similar to kerosene, but nothing was inside the truck. I then heard a voice behind me. “Hey, who are you? You are not supposed to be here.” The voice shouted.

“oh I am sorry. I must have gotten lost on my way out.” I said pretending not to know where I was. “Thank you so much.” I said as I left. At this point I was very certain that Malid had something to do with at least one of the fires if not bot
