0008:
Lady Margaret moved around the house nervously as a heavy realm of silence enveloped the William's villa. Clarissa's eyes sprouted, shooting a troubled look. "Grandma please drink your green tea. You need to calm down" Everyone was eagerly awaiting the doctor's arrival. Lady Margaret could not take her gaze off the foyer, staring at the doorway as if her life depended on it. Philips was glued to the couch, his eyes fixed on Lady Margaret, his palms damp with sweat, and his heart beating out of his chest nonstop. He felt a glimmer of hope while he waited patiently for the doctor, glancing at the wall clock from time to time. If he were truly Lady Margaret's grandson, he was going to make Elena pay for her actions! “I'll make sure they all regret what they have done, they shall cower at my feet!” He muttered quietly to himself. Doctor Gray, Lady Margaret's family physician, arrived promptly. Without delay, a DNA test was carried out right away and sent to the lab for results. "I'll be back soon, ma'am." She said as she bowed and left. Again, they had to wait and the wait seemed too long. “Sparky, can you not remember me? “ She said, lifting a brow from the other end of the couch. “ It's me, Clarissa.” She smiled. Clarissa always seemed cheerful and happy. She was always smiling even in her darkest moments. Her light and warm honey-brown eyes scanned his face in amusement. “No, I don't remember you, I'm sorry," Philip said, leaning forward. He felt guilty as if he had committed a crime. “Did you lose your memory? The day you drowned ?” she asked. “Drowned? I– l never drowned. I don't recall..” “Sparky drowned on his birthday. His disappearance was shocking. Back then, I found it strange, and to date, I still do; how did he just vanish into thin air?” Philip was a man of very few words. He always picked his words carefully and only spoke when he felt the need to. He didn't know what to say so he remained silent. Clarissa lowered her head in disappointment and frowned. But then, with a bright grin, she busied herself with her beaded bracelets, and continued, “ I remember when we were little, we used to play hide and seek.” Despite the uncertainty about his identity, her instincts kept tickling her to talk about the memories they shared in the past. Clarissa's luminous spirit came to life as she bloomed like a flower, lighting up the room and breaking the silence. She giggled slightly and moved closer to Philip, making his heart race. Feeling a lump gently rise in his throat, he quietly inhaled her sweet and angelic cologne. She smelt like vanilla and cocoa butter. Her skin glowing like that of a newborn child and her eyes filled with hope and positivity. Her eyes lit up and curved up into a small pout as she said, “One time, you hid in one of the kitchen cabinets and ended up getting stuck. I looked for you everywhere, but I didn't find you, “ She laughed and leaned closer. “I cried so much on that day.” “At the end of the day, My mom was the one who finally found you..” she sighed, hoping he might remember. ***** An hour later, the door swung open and Doctor Grey chimed in, “The results are out!!!" Clarrisa jumped up, and Lady Margaret stood still, "what does it say, doctor??" They asked in unison. "Unfortunately, Philip is not your grandson." "What?" lady Margaret spat in fright and terror. Abruptly, a heavy, weighing silence filled the air; Philip stood stagnant and unwavering as he paid attention to the doctor's news that crushed and crumbled his hopes into countless pieces. Clarissa's bright expression turned cold, "it's not possible!" She said, persistently. "Conduct another test; there could be a mistake somewhere. These things happen all the time." Lady Margaret fainted and buried herself back into the chair she gladly jumped up from earlier as she blinked her eyes. Clarrisa ran towards her to hold her as her heart tangled painfully, She was at a loss for words, "Doctor Grey, are you sure? One Hundred percent sure? Because I need you to be sure." She managed to speak, her eyes, dizzy. The doctor looked downwards, tilting her gaze away from Lady Margaret; she couldn't face her in the state she was currently in. "Yes, I am sure." She said and nodded her head slightly. Doctor Grey hated to be the deliverer of such bad and sorrowful news but that was the bitter truth. Philip was not Cedric. A beeping was heard by the doctor from her phone so she paused and excused herself, holding the phone tightly to her ear to answer the call, "Hello." Raising a brow, she said, annoyed, "Really? How could you let that happen??" "I'm sorry ma, it will never repeat itself!"The caller said over the phone, feeling remorseful and she ended the call. She walked towards them, looked at her phone, and said, "There has been a mix-up from the lab! Congratulations lady Margaret, the report is positive! He is your grandson." Philip pinched his face. Hold on, was he dreaming? Is Philip really Cedric Williams? He had always dreamed of having a family, but as he saw it come through, it looked like magic, and he became overwhelmed. Lady Margaret wiggled forward to hug him and danced joyfully, “Oh Cedric you are alive. I can't believe you went through so much pain and suffering. It must have been tough!“ “I'm truly sorry, my child,” She said genuinely, with tears falling to her cheeks, “All these years we thought you were dead. But you're alive now and I'll make sure I do everything within my power to make you happy.” “Oh doctor, my grandson is really alive. This calls for celebration?” She chided, looking like the happiest person on earth. The doctor nodded and said,” Y– yes, ma'am, it does!” Lady Margaret looked at her handsome grandson. Their was something unique about him. His daunting features reminded him of her son. “Is there anything you desire right now?” she questioned him. “Just say it and we will get it done!” Philip was still in awe but he played along in this jolly mood with them. “Anything I desire?” He asked, startled. What else could he ask for? He found his family and that was more than enough. “Yes my child, just name it.” she said. “I have just one desire and that is to seek revenge on my wife and her family!”0009: After Philips' cold request, he lowered his head respectfully and waited for her response. A bodyguard in a dark suit approached her, lowered himself, and guarded his words as he whispered into their ear. Suddenly, she stood up and picked up her handbag swiftly. She had to leave quickly for an important meeting. Though She was old, she remained very active and agile. Lady Margaret uttered with urgency evident in her voice, “Let's do this when I get back. We will talk about this when I am back.” He nodded and smiled faintly in agreement. Then he and Clarissa watched her walk to the doorway, leaving them both alone. The air grew awkwardly silently as they stared into each other's eyes like strangers. Clarissa wished he was able to remember her but he couldn't. She observed he wasn't much of a talker, but she stayed quiet and waited for him to say something, anything! She was doing all the talking earlier and it made her feel like she was doing too much. Philip just stoo
0010"Ah – Grandma!” Clarissa yelled as she sat next to Lady Margaret in the dining area with her hands guarding her unstable and trembling shoulders. Philip heard Lady Margaret's breathing loudly and he became tensed. “Please get her some water. Clarrisa said nervously, with visible fright in her humid gaze, “We have to take her to the hospital.”“C'mon, breathe, just breathe,” She said, her fingers slipping through her thinning gray hair.Looking up at Philip who was still standing erect as if he had suddenly lost his ears. Angrily, Clarissa gasped and screamed at him compellingly, “Make it snappy!” A sense of guilt flushed down his face, he began to regret snapping back at his grandmother in such a tone and manner. But how else could he have handled it?He rushed to the kitchen to get Lady Margaret a glass of water and came out in no time with a tray in his hands.Lady Margaret became unconscious after she heard Philip's response. He wondered if she was just being overly dramatic
0011:Lady Margaret was happy to hear Philip finally say those words, and she quickly agreed to get treated.*******“Please I need you to try your best to save her!” He said domineeringly.“Mr. Philip, it's a terminal condition; the chances of her surviving are very low…” He spat furiously.Abruptly, He hammered his fist on the table with his eyes popped out causing Clarissa to freeze and her face to flush in red, then he said, “Don't you fu**ing tell me that!” Philip growled anxiously, She must not die!! I don't know how you plan on doing that, but you must make it happen.” The doctor cowered in his seat and nodded in fright, agreeing with him, “Ye – yes sir. I.. we will try everything we can.” He said, fidgeting.Philip left the doctor's office, his chest protruding out, with Clarrissa walking behind him. He feared losing Lady Margaret and he was amazed by how much it bothered him. They got into Lady Margaret's car. He tightened his fists on the steering and paused for a while bef
0012: Clarrissa's advice drowned Philip into a realm of curiosity, making him wonder as he exited the Villa and drove to Yellow Sky. “Who was this director anyway?” He said to himself. This question kept playing back and forth in his mind until he arrived at Yellow Sky. Yellow Sky was the tallest building in Eldrador City, but Philip had never seen the view up close before; he only saw it from afar. It's no wonder it was named “Yellow Sky”, the building looked outstanding amongst others. Today was going to be his first day at Yellow Sky, the largest company in the City, but instead of going public to announce his return, he chose to remain discreet. He entered the building, drenched and allured in elegance. Just then, someone ran towards him, bowing his head nervously, “Mr Williams, welcome, sir. I'm Martins, Your assistant.” “Martins Hun! Okay, I trust that no one else knows about me in this company?” Martins placed his fingers on his lips and zipped them shut, “ I don't
0013: Richard couldn't comprehend what was happening. Robert, the chairman of Yellow Sky, came nearer. “You will not speak to your boss in such a manner, not under this roof!” Robert uttered. “But.. b-b–b, who is he?” Richard asked, his body shaking with his brows furrowed. “He is sir Freddrick's son, the one everyone thought had drowned years ago," he said, with so much hope in his gaze and continued, “It's a miracle, honestly.” Philip's return was shocking for Robert; he was left astonished after Lady Margaret informed him that he was taking over the company. Freddrick Williams was Robert's best friend; they practically birthed the company together. He saw Philip as his and he constantly reminded him of Freddrick. Richard gasped letting out an unexpected expression. A shock wave flushed his spine as he exclaimed, “he's alive! Cedric?” He lowered his head wisely and bowed before Philip as he began to regret everything he had done. He didn't dare to do anything irrational aga
0014: Richard looked dumbfounded as he glared at Sandra, he had never seen the devious side of her before. He didn't feel threatened by her but he just thought that the least he could do was to give her a subtle reason. He deserved one. After giving it some thought, he shook his head in disappointment and said, “I’m sorry, Sandra, but there's nothing I can do; it is beyond my power.” Silence instilled the air as blood channeled through Sandra's face, and she staggered in shame. She thought that if her sister could marry Richard, her company's status would keep soaring high, and she could make things twice as good and better than her grandfather had ever achieved. She became worried because she feared that her aunt and cousin would mock her, for not being capable of bagging a contract. They were already yearning for her downfall. “What do you mean by that? Are you not the CEO?” She questioned, flushing her eyes and fidgeting, “b–b–but I don't get it; what did we do wrong? What m
0015; “Elena, hurry up!” Sandra grumbled, pressing the horn of her car angrily. “Today is not the day to be admiring your reflection.” “Elena!” she yelled again. Elena hurried, increasing her pace toward Sandra's car; her silky blonde hair danced in the humid air as the orange-hued sunset cast a warm glow on her skin, which shimmered in her dark blue satin dress. “Coming…” she shouted as she got closer. "Sandra, you need to take it easy on your self” she continued, rolling her eyes. “What took you so long? Get in. Where’s Richard?” Sandra asked, frustration still visible on her face. “Oh, he left earlier,” Elena replied and entered the car. “Hmm,” Sandra whispered suspiciously as they took off. *** Elena glared at her sister, her eyes widening. Sandra appeared both demure and confident; her red hair was styled in a bun, displaying her elegant collar bones and slender neck. Her diamond teardrop earrings accentuated her round face, adding to her glamorous look. Meanwhile, Sa
0001“Please Sandra, I beg of you.” Philip fell to his knees, pleading his sister-in-law for mercy, his voice trembling with desperation. “Get your filthy hands off me! Have you no shame? She exclaimed as she walked away. Philip grasped the edge of her garment, lowering his head as he remained on his knees. He pleaded with Sandra to return the money she took from him, but she remained adamant. Moreover, he had been depending on her family financially. Sandra did not feel like she was indebted to him in any way. She was disgusted by his presence and was even more annoyed that he chose this moment to confront her. Today was her grandfather's funeral and her aunt Martha was currently giving a memorial speech. Martha stood on the stage with a microphone held close to her mouth as she said with all her might, “My father was vile and evil, he was an inconsiderate man! May his unwary soul remain troubled; he shall never find peace, and I hope you perish in hell, Micheal Peterson …” He
