Andrew strode confidently toward the entrance of the luxurious mansion, his footsteps echoing off the marble floor. The warm sunlight streaming through the glass doors highlighted his demure expression. As he approached the security checkpoint, a burly guard, Joe, stepped forward, blocking his path. The warm air in the garden felt different, grazing Lisa's skin. Chapter 82Andrew couldn't help but mutter curses under his breath while he drove back home to his family. His insides were burning with so much rage that even the fabric he was clothed with scorched his neck. "That bastard really thinks that he had me in a corner didn't he?!" Chapter 83Andrew was still in shock when the screen disappeared. He wiped the sweat away from his face. The gate suddenly opened and the gatekeeper stepped out, signaling to Andrew to make his way inside the house. "The hell?!" Andrew managed to mutter after he had regained his composure. Despite the air conditioner working just fine, his clothes were drenched with his own sweat. His hands trembled when he tried to get hold of the car keys and start the car. When he couldn't seem to get hold of himself. He unlocked the car and got down from it, making his way through the gate instead. "Good afternoon boss, welcome home boss." The gatekeeper greeted. Andrew barely waved at him and made his way inside. The gatekeeper's face contorted in confusion, his eyes glued to Andrew as he made his way into the house with the car still parked outside. Andrew woke up the next morning to see his breakfast already set on the table in front of him. He was thankful that he had not knocked the food down when he tried to get up. He quizzed himself while his eyes searched the room for his phone. He finally found it lying on the bed beside him. He reached for it and turned it on to check the time. "What the— eight thirty-five?!" He exclaimed, running his fingers through his hair, "I remember I got back from the office by two or thereabout, so I slept from then till now."
