Chapter 87

Andrew's eyes Fluttered open as he woke up, blinking rapidly as the morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, lighting up his bedroom. He glanced around, disoriented, his mind was still in a blank space for that moment.

He struggled to remember what had happened the previous night. He looked around the room with suprise in his eyes wondering how he had got here. He held his head feebly between his hands and tried to process his thoughts.

There was something there, just beyond his reach, something important. He reached for it, but as he did, a sharp pain shot through the back of his head. He winced, pressing his fingers to his temple, as if that might help to ease the throbbing ache.

"What... happened?" he muttered to himself, still feeling groggy. He pushed himself up on the bed, propping his back against the headboard. The images from the previous night were blurred, and no matter how hard he tried to concentrate, he couldn't piece them together.
