While Sandra continued pleading, she suddenly saw Donald standing not too far from them. Feeling disgusted at Donald’s existence, she rolled her eyes and murmured somthing beneath her breath.
"Eh! How come this useless pauper is here? Has he still not given up on me?" Sandra naturally suspected that Donald was there because he had been following them all the way long.
The rich guy, Rodney, also noticed Donald, and after sharing a mischievous look with Sandra, the two of them burst into laughter.
"Hey, how come the servant boy is here? Have you been following us? Poor spoony!" Rodney couldn’t hold back the pride of a winner as he laid a deep kiss on Sandra, which made the latter giggle in pleasure.
However, Donald didn’t even spare them a side glance. He wasn’t there to waste his precious time on a couple of bitch and bastard, he was there to prepare for his luxurious life.
Rodney, on the other hand, had never been ignored like this, and what made him boil with anger as he had just been overlooked completely by a loser, the type of person he usually paid no attention to.
Angrily, he pulled Sandra's wrist, and walked towards the saleswoman of the shop.
"Madam, I think you should carefully watch that young man in a blue rag. He is penniless and may spoil your goods, or even steal them," Rodney said seriously, while Sandra nodded approvingly.
"Please, who is he amongst the men standing there?" The saleswoman asked. She was beginning to believe Sandra and Rodney because there was no reason for them to lie to her. Probably they had noticed something that she hadn’t yet and came to kindly remind her in advance.
"That is him, the one wearing a blue shirt with numerous patches." Sandra said pointing at Donald who had already begun to select clothes in the most expensive section.
Now, he had already picked out five suits of new clothes and was looking to select two more.
The saleswoman scanned Donald from tip to toe in disdain. She was already beginning to suspect Donald because of how ragged he dressed.
It was impossible for the rich to wear shoes that had holes, was it?
From all aspects, Donald didn’t look like someone who was rich or could afford the items he was selecting. The saleswoman felt like taking a step against Donald, but she tried to caution herself. After all, she can’t suspect her clients without solid evidence.
After picking two extra suits, making it seven in total, Donald stood up to go around the lady’s section in search of a nice and tangible gift for Amelia. In no time, he found a pair of earrings that looked quite beautiful and worthwhile.
"Wow...this is a perfect gift for her," Donald said to himself, as he eyed the price tag which said 20 million dollars.
As soon as he was done picking up the gift, he walked to the checkout counter to pay.
He tried to bring out his wallet but couldn't find it. He searched his pockets thoroughly, but there was no trace of the wallet.
All this while, Sandra, Rodney, and the saleswoman were watching him closely.
"See, I said it, he is a thief. He doesn't have the money to pay for even the cheapest things here, yet see what he went ahead to pick.
I told you to shoo him out, but you wouldn't believe me," Sandra said to saleswoman before turning to face Donald, “Hey, donkey, don’t pretend you can afford all of that, alright? Why shame yourself to this extent? I swear I won’t come back to you, no matter what you do. So stop the show, okay?”
Rodney who has also watched the whole scene without blinking eyes was already laughing his head off.
"The best you can do is to call the security guards and get this idiot out of your shop. What if he robs the shop?" Rodney chocked and laughed with tears in his eyes.
With the turn out of things, the saleswoman was now convinced that Donald was indeed poor and could not afford to pay for the goods, so she decided to take steps against Donald.
"Sir, if you can’t pay for the clothes and earrings, please kindly leave the shop before I call the security," the saleswoman said, pretending to be polite, yet she secretly signaled the messenger at the doorstep to call for the security men.
Just as Sandra and Rodney went on abusing Donald, one of the shop's cleaners walked out of the toilet with a wallet in her hands.
"Who owns this wallet?" The cleaner asked.
"Ah my wallet! Thank you!" Donald smiled in relief as he moved towards the cleaner to collect his wallet and thank her.
“Here,” Within the twinkle of an eye, Donald brought out his bank card and handed it over to the attendant as the others watched suspiciously.
"It's a hundred thousand dollars in total, sir," the attendant confirmed.
"Go ahead and deduct the money," Donald said calmly, ignoring all the attention paid to him.
"Ha! The poor guy still acting like a tycoon to attract attention. Shame on you!" Rodney smirked as he watched with interest.
But just then, the machine announced, “A hundred thousand dollars deducted! Thanks for shopping at Vengod’s Luxury”.
“That can’t be true!” Rodney and Sandra couldn’t believe their eyes as the attendant handed over the card back to Donald.“He must have stolen someone’s card! Call the police!”
They believed something must have gone wrong, so Sandra came close to Donald and the attendant. "I suggest he be arrested. I'm sure that he must have stolen someone else's bank card. The bank card he used can’t be his. I know him. He is a very poor guy," Sandra said hastily. She could let Donald get away after this.
"Here is the phone number of the hotel where he works as a server, you can verify what my girl said with the hotel boss in person" Rodney said, handing out a business card he was given long ago for being a VIP guest at the hotel.
While the saleswoman and the attendant were hestitant about what to do next, the security guards walked in, together with the manager of Vengod’s Luxury.
"Could this be Mr Jeff's son?"The shop's manager asked, pleasantly surprised.
Donald had a striking resemblance with his father, and many people of high status had been able to identify Donald as Albert Jeff's son in the past, because of his looks.
"Yes, I am, if you’re referring to that Mr Jeff," Donald responded, wondering how the manager of an ordinary luxury shop got to know his father.
"I thought as much. You look so much like your father. I met him at a business meeting some time ago at Hanclord city, and we got talking. You have such an intelligent father," the woman remarked with a guilty conscience.
As everyone watched them in amazement, the manager herself knew she was only telling half the truth. She did indeed meet Donald’s father at a business meeting but she never got a chance to go near that low-key tycoon, not to mention chat with him.
But the rest of them didn’t know, and they couldn’t help but wonder …
Can the father of a pauper meet with a manager of a luxury brand at a "business meeting?"
The shop manager wanted to invite Donald for tea and perhaps even hoped to get invited to Donald’s house in return. If lucky, she would be able to meet Mr Jeff and have a nice chat with him. She believed that would benefit her business career a lot. But Donald wisely changed the topic. On the other hand, feeling rather confused, Rodney and Sandra decided to leave. There was no point staying now that Donald seemed to know the manager of the shop. What if they were both acting to fool others? Besides, Rodney didn’t want Sandra to go back to the expensive handbag. He had had enough for today, so without hesitating, he dragged Sandra toward the entrance."Are you leaving so soon? What about the handbag?" The saleswoman called from behind. "We'll be back some other time," Rodney replied reluctantly, dragging Sandra harder with a firm hand toward the entrance before the saleswoman could say one more word.. Rodney was a regular customer at the luxury shop, so the saleswoman believed him a
“You can't believe who I saw! " Rodney said, his eyes wide open as if he had seen ghosts. "Who?" a female voice asked lazily from the other end. "I saw Donald, your ex. Did you happen to know that he is the son of the giant tycoon Albert Jeff"“Hahaha...No way. You’re kidding me, he is just an average poor commoner" the female voice interrupted with laughter. "No, Sandra. I’m serious. He is indeed from a rich home. His birthday is being celebrated in a grand style, and the creme de la creme of the society are all present..." "What …. do you mean?" Sandra questioned, her voice shaking obviously. Was she having hearing problems at such a young age?"You won’t believe it, he was announced to soon take over a very large consortium in this city! Didn’t you say he was so poor he couldn’t even afford to buy you a ring?" Rodney roared with suppressed anger, as he hung up on the phone. He had ruined it all just because of a whore!"Can this be true? Rodney is probably drunk," Sandra said t
After watching the “rich” guy throwing in the towel, Donald entered his office and quickly went through his schedule for the day. Time flew and soon it was time for him to leave. He had to be in school to see his project supervisor later that day, so he decided to get ready to leave. He put some documents into his bag so that he could go through them later on his arrival home. Then he walked out of his office downstairs to where he had parked his newly bought car. He drove out of the company's premises, but after five minutes of driving, he came across Amelia and naturally offered to give her a ride. Within a short while, they arrived at the university and Donald was trying to park his car when he heard a tap on the window. He turned and inevitably raised an eyebrow at seeing who it was. "Hey, Donald. Who owns the car you're driving?" Sandra asked. Donald, however, frowned and ignored her. What was the whore doing here? And it was none of her business whose car he was driving.
It was Donald's graduation day at the University of Chesbil, and his family members were all present. He was excited that he was graduating from the University, and some of his colleagues who worked with him while he did low-status jobs were also present. Many shook hands with him, while some others hugged him to congratulate him. The day was a memorable one for him, not only because he was graduating from the University, but because he received an award as the best graduating student of the University. Many of his schoolmates envied him, and he was praised for been able to graduate with an award, despite having to jumble menial jobs with study. While he stood to take pictures with his family and friends, he had a voice not too far away. "CEO" the person called. After calling a number of times without any response, the person moved close to tap him on his shoulders, then he whispered: "CEO." Donald turned to look at the person, and burst into laughter. It was one of his classmates,
Amelia raised her head to look at the woman who spoke to her, when she saw Sandra. "You?" Amelia asked in surprise. "Keep quiet, you fool! Don't let me hear you speak, or else I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget in a hurry," the man wearing the black shade said. Sandra had planned to kidnap Amelia before that day. She had made necessary findings about where Amelia stayed, then she made up her mind to kidnap Amelia on her way from work. That day, Sandra's intention was to go and see Donald, and then go to wait for Amelia with a thug on the way to her house.Little did she know that she would meet Amelia with Donald at the company. The driver drove the three of them to a quiet place then he parked. "Look, you're going to be spending at least three days with us in that house," Sandra said, pointing at a small house not far from them. "What? What have I done to deserve this?" Amelia asked in shock. Within the twinkle of an eye, she felt someone pull her ears very painfully. "A
Amelia was surprised by Donald's reaction. "I don't know what you're talking about, Donald," Amelia managed to say. "You're such a pretender. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Why didn't you come to pay my Mum a visit to the hospital as you promised? Now, you came to visit me when you found out that she had been discharged. I called you on several occasions, but you didn't pick up your calls, or return them," Donald said."No, you're getting things wrong. I was kidnapped..." "Hahaha...Donald burst into laughter. You're not so good at lying. How would you be kidnapped and come here looking this radiant? Do you think I'm a fool?" Donald asked with a frown on his face. "I'm not lying. You need to listen to me, Donald. You just..." "Call the security men to come and take her out of here," Donald told the servant standing close to the door.Within a short while, the men were around. They quickly held Amelia by the arms and led her out of the house.*********The next day at Dulu
It was a bright Saturday morning, Rick and his wife, Betty, sat down on the balcony of their house to relax. Rick and Betty Yale were Rodney's parents. They used to be very poor until Rodney got a job with Duluth Associates and helped to improve their standard of living. They formerly lived in a very small and unattractive house, until Rodney helped them to rent another house after he got employed at Duluth Associates. "I'm still very angry about Rodney's demotion at work. That boy has been a pillar of support to this family, and just from nowhere, someone comes to spoil our joy by demoting him." Rick said. "Rodney demoted? I need to know that fool demoted him. For what reason was he demoted?" Betty tried to know. Rodney told only his father about his demotion at work, so the mother was yet to know about it."Rodney was told that the company demoted him, but it's only a lie. There's no one behind it, other than his CEO." Rick said. "But why will his CEO want to demote him? He has wo
Donald was surprised to see Sandra in his Mum's room. It appeared like she had been around for a while. Since Sandra got to know that Donald's Mum was just recuperating, she made up her mind to use the opportunity in getting Donald's attention. So she decided to always visit his Mum before the time Donald would return home from work."I'm sure you heard me. What are you doing in my Mum's room?" Donald asked. "Mum, do you know her?" Donald asked, facing his Mum. "I don't need to know her. She has been very nice to me," Nina, Donald's Mum responded. "Now, I'll need you to leave her room at once. You're not welcome here!" Donald yelled. "Son, you don't need to be harsh. She has been kind to me, and doesn't deserve such treatment," Nina pleaded."Did you say kind, Mum? The young lady here does not understand what it means to be kind. I'm sure she has an ulterior motive for coming here. The only language she understands is money..." "Enough! Enough son! You can go ahead and send her away
In the dimly lit courtroom, the judge pronounced Frank's sentence with a solemn voice, "Frank Stevens, you have been found guilty of your involvement in the conspiracy to harm Donald. Your actions have caused immense pain and suffering. The court hereby sentences you to twenty-five years in prison for your crimes."As the gavel fell, Frank's world crumbled around him. He had been a willing participant in Albert's sinister plans, but now he faced the consequences of his choices. With his head bowed, he was led out of the courtroom, his freedom forever lost.Meanwhile, Rodney's fate hung in the balance as his trial unfolded. The evidence against him was overwhelming, from his confession to the damning testimony of his former associates. The weight of his crimes pressed heavily on him, and as the days turned into weeks, Rodney knew that the outcome of this trial could be his last. The day of Rodney's sentencing arrived with an air of anticipation. The courtroom was packed with spectators
One evening, as Amelia and Suzy sat in the Williams living room, sipping tea, Suzy opened up about her doubts regarding Scott, her suitor."Amelia," she began hesitantly, "I'm just not sure about Scott. He's so different from the guys I usually date. He's quiet and reserved... I don't know if he's the right fit for me."Amelia listened carefully, her heart going out to her sister. She could see the uncertainty in Suzy's eyes, but she also saw the love that shone through when Suzy spoke about Scott."Suzy," Amelia said gently, "sometimes, we have to look beyond the surface to see the beauty within. Scott may be quiet, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care deeply for you. Within the little time I've seen him here, I've noticed the way he looks at you when he thinks no one's watching. It's a look of pure adoration."Suzy sighed, torn between her feelings for Scott and her uncertainty. "I guess I just need some reassurance. I want to be sure that he's as committed to this relationship as
One sunny Saturday afternoon, Mrs. Williams and Suzy decided it was time to extend an olive branch to Amelia. They had been reflecting on their past judgments and treatment of her and felt a deep sense of remorse. They realized that Amelia had transformed into a remarkable woman and deserved their love and support. Suzy was the one who picked up the phone to make the call. She dialled Amelia's number, her fingers trembling with anticipation. After a few rings, Amelia's warm voice filled the line. "Hello?" "Amelia, it's Suzy," Suzy began hesitantly. "I was wondering if you and your baby would like to come over to our place today. Mom and I have something we'd like to talk to you about." Amelia, surprised by the invitation, agreed. She had hoped for reconciliation with her family and was eager to see if this was the beginning of a fresh start. "Sure, Suzy. We'd love to come over. What time should we be there?" Suzy quickly arranged a time, and they hung up. She then turned to her mo
On a crisp, early morning, the sun had just begun its ascent, casting a gentle golden hue across the city. Albert was preparing to leave for work. He meticulously straightened his tie, checked his reflection in the hallway mirror, and grabbed his briefcase. As he stepped out of his front door, the cool morning air greeted him. He started down the path toward his car, parked at the curb. The familiar routine of his daily commute was etched into his subconscious, and he moved with a sense of purpose. But as he reached the car door, a sudden, sharp voice cut through the calm morning air."Albert Dallas, freeze! Put your hands up!"Albert's heart skipped a beat as he turned to see several police officers, their badges glinting in the morning light, guns drawn and pointed at him. Panic surged through him as he raised his hands in compliance, his briefcase slipping from his grip and landing on the pavement with a thud. The neighbours, drawn by the commotion, peered through curtains and from
Amelia sat on her bed this morning, As the first rays of sunlight pierced through her living room window, she felt something she hadn't expected - sharp cramps in her tummy. At first, she dismissed the discomfort as nothing more than indigestion from last night's dinner. But as the minutes passed, the pain intensified, and she realized that this was something different. Something significant.Amelia tried to stand up, but the pain was too much. She knew she needed help. With trembling hands, she reached for her phone and dialled the number of her next-door neighbour, Mrs Johnson.Mrs. Johnson had always been a kind and caring woman, and Amelia hoped she would be able to assist her in this moment of need."Hello, Amelia?" Mrs. Johnson's voice came through the phone, filled with concern."Mrs. Johnson," Amelia managed to say between breaths, "I'm in a lot of pain. I need your help. Can you come over?"Without hesitation, Mrs. Johnson assured her that she'd be right there. In a matter of

She opened the door and was taken aback to see Dub standing there. "Dub?" Amelia's voice wavered with surprise.Dub cleared his throat, his nerves getting the best of him. "Amelia, can we talk?
