Amelia was now discharged from the hospital, so she returned to work. Dub and Amelia no longer related to each other as if they were still in a relationship, but they acted coldly towards each other.

Kelfort Companies Inc. looked like the only thing that brought the both of them together. At the close of work on Tuesday evening, Dub summoned some courage to speak with Amelia.

She had picked up her bag to go home and was standing at the exit of her office to lock the door when she heard her name called.

"Amelia, please can I see you briefly at my office?" Dub asked. "Well, I'm not sure. Work is over for today, and I have to be home right now," Amelia replied. "I know. But trust me, it's going to be brief," Dub tried to cajole her.

"Alright, then," Amelia replied and walked over to Dub's office reluctantly. "Amelia, why have been cold towards me lately? You haven't been responding to my gestures, calls, or text messages.

And anytime I come to visit you, you pretend not to be at home.
