IN THE PLANE

Albert settled into his seat on the plane, a mixture of emotions churning within him as he returned to Parker City. He had witnessed Donald and Vera's wedding and was returning home. Vera's wedding to Donald was a bitter pill to swallow, a reminder of the chances he had missed. He gazed out of the window, lost in thought as the plane taxied down the runway.

As the plane reached cruising altitude, Albert's reverie was interrupted by the sound of a familiar voice. He turned his head and was taken aback by the sight of his childhood friend. Memories of their shared adventures and mischievous escapades flooded back.

"Albert? Is that you?" the young man exclaimed, his face breaking into a wide grin. It was Rodney.

Albert's surprise quickly turned into a genuine smile. "Rodney, I can't believe it's you! How long has it been?"
