THE ACCEPTANCE

"Hello, I've done all that you asked me to do. And I'm sure, she believes me this time," a female voice was heard over the phone.

"Alright, good job. Owen will send you your balance today!" Linda replied as she hung up on the phone. "Let us see how she reacts to this, this time," she told herself.

Within the last week, Amelia had received threatening messages, asking her to leave Dub so she made up her mind to quit her relationship with him.

She stopped visiting Dub, picking up his calls, or responding to his text messages. Her meeting with him in the company was strictly formal, and not in any way informal.

So Dub had begun to get worried about Amelia's attitude towards him of late.

Amelia had just returned from work one Tuesday evening when she saw Owen standing by her doorstep with a bunch of flowers in one hand and a basket full of gifts in the other hand.

"Hey, beautiful, you're welcome," Owen said, but Amelia ignored him and walked up to open her door.
